Jackson Corner
Leamington Royal When were we behind Wycombe?

They've reached the semis of the league and FA cup something we've not even got close too.

Have we really never figured in an FA Cup semi final ?

Not even against Cardiff ?

As far as some people are concerned football only started when The Premiership came along didn't it?
I never realised that the leagues had been running for well over 100 years before then.

Alex ferguson has been the best manager in the UK for years. Last year he said reading wouldn't go down....

Professional opinion all the way...quite.

Yeah, exactly what I'm wondering! :|

We might not have been in a lower division but I can remember us taking a hammering there one season.

They were all over us in the first half. Our boo boys decided to target our keeper (Scott Howie?) after he made an early mistake. With his own ' supporters' stood behind him constantly having a go at him, the poor barsteward's confidence was shot to pieces. The goals against flowed and he was substituted at half time to save him from any more punishment.

Yeah I rememeber this game well! I think we went 4 down by half-time and Howie was at fault for at least 2, possibly 3 of those goals. We were about to leave early in the second half, before Reading scored and it finished 4-2 if I remember rightly.

However, unless my recollections are wrong, this is the one and ONLY time, that you could say that we were behind Wycombe! A side that sepnt much of it's history as a non-league outfit for heavens sake.

We only trailed Oxford and Swindon when they rose to top tier status, where neither or them stayed for very long.

So all in all, Brendan should get his facts straight before spouting giblets to the BBC!

Let's destroy Watford tonight for these comments!

I completely agree, so it's with thanks to two of the best managers ever in Wenger and Ferguson for telling us 'there is no way Reading will go down'.

Yep,those professionals always get it right don't they?
Famously Alan Hansen, one of the best defenders ever in English football,"You don't win anything with kids".
We all know what happened a few months later.

Lost 5-3 actually. Even looked like getting a point for a while late on in the 2nd half as I recall.

Even back then it could well have been described as a boxing ring. Now its more like a circus ring and the way its going withing a year it'll be Kettering.

Never stopped me calling Caskey fat though.

That's cheered me up.
I wouldn't mind having Glenn manage Reading, should Coppell ever leave us.

Their predictions were a better bet than this one. In the Premiership "for sure" is crazy. It's less than 50/50. When Ferguson and Wenger did their bit they could reasonably be said to have a slightly better than 50% chance of being right (although the mere fact of the utterance slanted the odds against us.)

Apt that two of United's oldest players made the most significant contributions to that title, isn't it? (one may have missed the first few months of that campaign).

Watford manager Brendan Rodgers:

"We had a crazy minute in the second half where we gifted them two goals.

"You cannot do that against a quality side like Reading who will go up for sure this season.

"Defending has been our Achilles heel all season, even before I came here, and we seem to take one step forward and two steps back."

Flipping 'eck, he's deluded isn't he?

We have no chance.

famous last words, I hope for the sake of the club, you or him don't end up with egg on your face in may, if we finish 3rd and lose the play-offs we'll be playing in the championship next season, no matter how good people think we are and how much people think we'll walk it.

What are you on about?
As if the Club gives a flying one about what I have to say about the complete obvious.

You remind me of Brendan Rogers.
He talks out of his backside too.

Wtf?

I hope for the sake of the club you are right and we are promoted, as I love the club. I think you interpreted that completely wrong.
I wasnt implying they read HNA and would value your opinion
