rfcjoe Buzzing so much, that he gave the ball away with his first two touches.

Yep, but it was nice to see him get a goal and nobody played that well. Who would you pick for MOM? I'm not sure that I could pick anyone.

Great to see him back and scoring.
Now hopefully Shane will go back to his rightful place (Ireland) and Leroy will stay, and we will have three good strikers.

I'm not so sure. I was only watching on the net, but SHunt looked to me to be doing a fair impression of a ferret up somebodies trousers TBH, though I suppose he'd probably get it by default for work rate, if nothing else.

Well done Leroy.

Thank god we have a decent back up striker now should something happen to Doyle or Hunt.

I'm worried this goal is gonna stop any much needed transfer activity this month up front.
Its a great finish and i'm glad for Leroy, but we need something else up there, not him.

Careful. I got banned from the BBC 606 Boards for saying that, apparently they thought it might be 1. Actionable or 2. An incitement to violence.

You're right...goal scoring has been a massive problem for us this season so far.

Pleased Lita scored obviously, but no-one has mentioned that with a free header from about 8 yards out he completely missed the target. I saw the game on TV and I did think all the players looked genuinely pleased when he scored.

But if he does the business and has much more impact than Long then Leroy can go on a free.
We all know that 'assets' as Sir Mad called them are there to be bought and sold (hopefully for profit) but not in this case.
Maybe the loan spell has revitalised him. he went looking for the ball tonight and involved himself well for the short 17 mins on the pitch. Good reception for him when he came on and though the game was over at that point it was good to see him involved in the match.

So we want a player who thinks he has a god given right to start for the team and if he doesnt then he wants away from Reading, and a player who has made it quite clear he is moving on in the summer on a free.

The only reason he got a good reception is because he is such a laughing stock meaning some quality songs about shagging peoples wives and 'videotaping it too'.

He has the totally wrong attitude and shown great disrespect for the club and this shouldnt be forgot when we have 20 or so other loyal and committed players within our squad.

I'd actually forgotten just how much Lita's inability to hold up a ball and turn, especially while always playing for a free kick, actually slows down the game

Still scored though, so hey ho!

He certainly has had an attitude in the past but Coppell has always said that he would not pick players that did not want to play for him..by his squad selection I can only assume Lita still wants to play for the Coppell and therefore by definition the club.
The attitude of the other players towards him appeared to be that they were genuinely pleased he had scored.
I still think he could be a key part in our promotion winning campaign.

WTF?

I am delighted that Leroy scored tonight.

I would love it if he sorted his life out and got some game time, got some goals, and signed a new contract.
He is clearly the best finisher at this club.
Yes he has had some problems with his attitude, etc. etc.

Too many people are too quick to write people off for whatever reason and forget about the big picture.
Stop reading the News of the World and grow an adult opinion!

Lita has bags of ability. Harness it and we will all be better off.

Fortunately Steve Coppell is intelligent enough to not burn his bridges, unlike many of the keyboard warriors on HNA.

I don't know about the personal attitude, but I got the impression that the reception was genuine. This is a player that made it into the England under 21 setup whilst at this club, and also scored a fair few goals. He's a young man - a lad really - and his nights out in Bristol are testament to that. I have no idea what the internal politics are at the club, but I'd rather he'd stay and hopefully knuckle down. If his personality is found wanting then I'd guess he could join the same ego ridden society that most other players could join.

Sorry, but what the oxf*rd are you on about?
Doyle > Lita.
N Hunt = Lita.
Long < Lita.
How Lita is a better finished than Doyle is beyond me. Maybe the freezing cold muddled up your brain?

Doyle and N Hunt seemed happy to make way for him when they were coming off.
It looks like everyone was glad he was back!

Lita the best finisher at the club?
Not sure that Kevin Doyle would agree with you.
A good finisher would surely have buried the free header.
