specialjon We are missing a leader and sadly the next in line is Harper........

Harper is nothing like a leader.

Duberry would be more suitable, even Rosenior!

Harper is playful and full of team spirit, he is not a captain I'm affraid.

I went to watch Murts last 2 games with Charlton up north (I live there). He has been solid in defence and his ball distribution has been excellent. His leadership quality and organisational skills have been brilliant in those games. He is due back after 3rd March game. I would hope Coppell will keep him here this time. He is match fit again, and that was the reason for him going on loan in the first place. With us going into the final 2 months of the season, we need our captain back, whether its in the starting XI or on the bench or centre of the park in a Makele position I dont care - bring him home!

Murts is a solid organiser at the back and his experience is valued, that goes without saying. A fully match fit Murts playing well for Charlton is great for Charlton but i'd have to eat humble pie if i saw him playing for us again. When he played against Cardiff he was run ragged. He must have been match fit but lacked pace. He also suffered a bout of cramp as a result of his exertions.

Has it? Murty played? No. And I doubt a pep talk pre match would make much difference. The guys got a valuable goal and that turned the game around and gave us something we've been lacking, confidence! Murts, as much as I love him, didn't make an ounce of difference tonight. A goal did.
