Focher he still can't play 'football' though, but his attitude and defensive attributes are unquestionable.

brendywendy apparently marek put in an improved defensive eprformance last night, making a couple of great critical and timely challenges
(but he still gave it away criminally a couple of times too)

????
Of course he can play football !
He's a defender, he does defending !
Marek can't tackle, Hunt doesn't win headers and Doyle doesn't block shots on the line but they all play football. It's not in Doobs job description to be the play maker or go on mazy runs.....

gonesyhowser At this level and with a young up and coming 19 year old as his defensive partner, doobs has been perfect, loads of experience at the highest level, he has been pretty useful since he has got back to full fitness. I for one applaud him for his performances very professional, strong and calm, somewhere in there is my reasons for him taking the armband.
He's certainly been better than Keown was!
Sorry, tenuous link being that they both came to us in the twilight of their careers with lots of premiership experience behind them and big reputations. In fairness to Keown, his experience was quite possibly responsible for Sonko's improved play.

Snowball Last night I was pleased for Doobs, and chuffed we won
but let's be clear, speed-wise Pearce and Doobs would be ripped to shreds by Agbonglahor (sp?) and company in the Prem

I've heard some people calling him "Grass" but I'm not sure if that will catch on though.
