Turns8
Sarah Star ...and the fact that he wrote to me and I wouldn't have become such a Reading fan without him doing that.

You should get him a welcome back card and send it to him and see if he remembers you
I'm not going to stalk him

The Prisoner I work with 2 Stoke season ticket holders and they just don't get him. They thought £5.5m = a goal a game and feel duped.

Kits said the price tag wouldn't affect him, but that's been taken out of his hands by the fans.

They also think he never wanted to leave Reading, and but for the lure of prem football (he's has a quarter of all he will get at Stoke) and wonga, he wouldn't have left. With all the comment that he is making about us it does seem like your ex making longing eyes at you across a bar.....

Work ethic and all that aside they are probably right.

Strangely I posted this on the "Kitson wants out" thread back in October. Along with my predicting that we would draw Cardiff away in the cup before we actually did I suspect I may be Nostradamus. Saturday's winning lottery numbers are 2, 8, 19, 40, 41 and 47. The bonus ball is 12.

Kitson's made mistakes and said some stupid things. But that is infinitely forgivable because he actually gives honest, intelligent and articulate interviews. He admits when he's got something wrong.

I've always like Kitson from the first game I saw him (helped he scored 2 against West Ham that day). He has to be my all-time favourite player and easily one of the best two strikers I've ever seen play for us. I consider him on a par with Little, if not ahead due to his ability to recreate form season after season, in terms of most gifted player to play for us.

Given Doyle's season, and Long's recent goals, he might find it a bit of a struggle to get into the team though. Personally I'd drop Long for him in an instant, but it's going to be hard for Coppell to do that. Doyle's recent scoring record would suggest it should probably be him that makes way if anyone does, but again, can't see it happening.

You get the feeling he didn't fully appriciate what he had here. He's not like most footballers, only been at Reading and Cambridge. Maybe he realised things that he thought were bad at Reading are just as bad if not worse at other clubs.

Still don't know why Stoke signed him, was never going to fit their style.

Really missed his interviews.

Welcome back, however briefly, to an honest and articulate footballer.

I do have some concerns about his having encountered 'hoofball' at Stoke. Can we guarantee that things will be any different at Royals' games?

If he does manage some games for us, I believe that his best position will be in 'the hole'. That might confuse a few teams who attempt 4 - 5- 1 against us.

You can take another slant on this. He never left RFC, he has just been on loan to Stoke. Now he is back and I welcome his return.

Good honest account of himself and his situation. He hasn't burnt his bridges with Stoke so he's a wiser man. Lets see how he performs for us, get a few goals and reward the club and the support by helping to push us into automatic promotion. If he's a mercenary then so what, if it's for all the right reasons (promotion). If the club can renegotiate with Stoke and we take him on full time next season then i cannot see him wanting to get burnt again with another club.

In honour of the legend that is Dave Kitson, I've resurrected my old, badly drawn avatar.

"I've played at all the Premier League grounds but the first time I stepped out at the Britannia Stadium the hairs went up on the back of my neck.

That'll be because they've got a stadium with a wind tunnel running across one side of the pitch. Still, they've got more than three sides.....

Good old Kits, says it like it is.

Love him or hate him you can't fault a guy who's honest and who holds his hands up to a mistake and apologises.

Anyone who claims they wouldn't move somewhere else for more money isn't being entirely honest with themselves. I love Reading to bits but if I was given the chance to earn more for my kids and wife by going somewhee else I wouldn't be so selfish to refuse.

Top lad. Honet as ever. I just hope though tht his tactless honesty doesn't sour the mood at Reading. Having said that I doubt it can get any worse anyway the way we're playing!

There's no guarantee that this will work out but I have good feelings about it.

Kits always gave us an extra dimension to our play and is one of those players who might just read Mareks game better than others.

Furthermore, he's a 3rd centre half when defending set pieces whilst his liking for dropping deep can only help Coppells lightweight midfield.

Will our manager finally give 4-5-1 a go now we have striker well suited to being the one :|

Welcome back, Dave, your interviews are always a breath of fresh air :P
