I like Coppel too much - intelligent, witty, bored of the media, and likes the underdogs! But if Coppell decides to go at the end of the season, then perhaps a partnership of Wally Downes and Neil "break his..." Warnock ;)

No, for me it would have to be Brendan Rogers (Watford) or Jan Jonsson (Stabaek IF).

If we failed to go up, and assuming Coppell leaves, then I'd have Paul Ince.
He's proved himself at MK Dons, he wasn't given enough time at Blackburn and he'd certainly have enough time at Reading given the chairman we have.

If Coppel does go at the end of the season, I have a feeling that Alan Pardew might end up back at Reading, and I sincerely mean that.

Kitson coming back, Little coming back is one thing.

Pardew? He didn't burn his bridges, he bombarded them into tiny little pieces, then sh@t on them for good measure.

Gary Johnson or Sean O'Driscoll would be on my short list

Martinez would be a decent option but I cant see him leaving what he has built Swansea just to come to Reading

The likes of Parky or Sanchez would probably be in the running too, even if not logically the best of records

Martin Allen. 6 away games left - we warm up in the "home team half" each time = promotion.

I'm sorry - the minute you start naming these names it makes Coppell look the best bet.

shaka's shorts it is Brendan Rodgers - nailed on

Agreed, Watford are kindly giving him a bit of work experience at this level, prior to him joining us. He has already shown that he knows how to turn around a bad run.

Paul Ince would be perfect for a 'smaller' club like Reading. Coppell is still the best manager we've had in my 25 years supporting Reading, but he's at the end of the road now.
