And I'm Officially p!ssed off with 50 average speed restrictions which seem to be bloody everywhere!!

Ditto. The entire journey seemed to be in 50 mph average speed checks!

I didnt think we were as great as people made out, yes the 5 man midfield kept the ball.. but we never looked dangerous. Kebe, Bikey, Armstrong and Marek were all quality though and I felt Shunt and Long did a great job in their brief sub appearances, and did exactly what was needed.

RobRoyal Just a word about the refereeing:

Sh*t.

I mean laugh-out-loud poor at times.

Well done to the support, the 12th man was a much of a match-winner as any tonight.

And finally:

Royalee Piss off Coppell.

Piss off Royalee.

Because Coppell got off lightly after getting it wrong again? Yeah, I should piss off for daring to question his management after scraping past Doncaster in the 81st minute.

Deathy Duberry out - Pearce in please.

Not sure if the head wound is behind Pearce's absense, but he is currently our best centre back!

agree with the first part but i think Bikey proved tonight that when he can be bothered he is oxf*rd miles above anything in this league including pearce

Bikey is a solid bear of a man. He held off two donny players after taking then into the corner flag. They tried to muscle him off the ball and Bikey just stood still, rolled the two of them and broke free. Class.

Just a quick one - why did SHunt walk off the pitch without celebrating the win with the rest of the team. Poor show.

The support last night were absolutely loud, and deserved that win. Akin to SW the other week the elation at the goal was mental. :D

It was great to be stood all game without being harassed by over zealous stewarding.

BB0118 - lend me £1.70 mate.

Wizard Only decided at about 4pm to go, well pleased I made the effort.

That leaves Matejovsky - probably one of the best players to ever wear the hoops. A class above tonight, playing in that free role off the striker is where he needs to be used from now on. Was all over the pitch, and I can't remember one wayward pass. Always found Kebe, Doyle or Kitson.

A word about the pitch - what a beautiful surface! Much better than the pitch at the Mad Stad, looked as smooth as silk, and I think that only helped us tonight.

Well done lads.

Saved your best two for last. Glad that Marek is making a positive impact in the new formation. And you are right about the ground. From BB0118's picture it looked great.

Yep, because we have a God given right to p!ss over every team we play.

Coppell changed the formation to that which a lot of posters had called for, dropped players people were calling to be dropped, and picked players people wanted picked. And, we won. I dont think that Copp's would sit and read Hob Nob, so he has made these decisions by himself (albeit too late for some posters). We beat an in-form Donny team, and I'm quite happy at that.

Please go and take your meds so that your day may seem a little less bleak, and life somewhat more tolerable.

Excellent trip, good performance and fantastic result that keeps the season well and truely alive.

With a new formation the first half was predictably a little tentative and Donnie were predictably lively but as expected fairly toothless up front. If they managed to get a striker instead of playing 4 wingers they would be a very decent side.

Second half was a bit of a revelation. We played football, on the ground, with purpose and increasing confidence and really should have got 2 or 3 goals. Great to see all the changes made over the last couple of games paying off - Bikey, Kitson both looking like they will make a real difference.

One result does not mean we are out of the woods (see Sheff Wed....) but the team will take heart from this and a goal at last for Kitson will mean a huge amount for him.

Onwards and upwards.....

Mr Angry Marek: 8.5 - showed what a class player he can be if used to the best effect; had time to create all night long, and a major thorn to Doncaster. Still a yellow card waiting to happen whenever he tries to tackle though!

As you may or may not know I dont especially rate Marek - would I rate him more if we consistently play 5 in midfield? Does his lightweightedness become less obvious?
Genuinely interested.

Kitsondinho As I said on the bogus thread..just got back from Donny....(The joys of living in Chesterfield).....Good display, ok game. Kebe and Marek played very well, but both need to learn to shoot. Bikey looked bored for most the game, he was just far too good for the Donny front line. Marcus still can't kick.....but then again Scotland's old number 1 was a lot worse!!

I have the joy of living in Chesterfield too. I thought we played brilliantly last night. And coming in to work this morning Radio Sheffield had the Donny manager on, he was saying the we were the best team they had faced at home all year, its been a while since I heard an opposition manager say that about us. Lets keep it going until the end of season party against Brum!

What an excellent performance by RFC on their travels. A formation change combined with movement and pace did us proud. The second half performance was excellent with Bikey and Armstrong outstanding.

I have to compliment Doncaster who played there part in a tense game for RFC. At times they played some pretty football but when it came to the last 20 yards there was no striker to get on the end of some very good crosses into the box.

Great reports everyone. So amusing to look at the match thread and see people judging the game completely wrongly based on radio commentary. Don't know what that says about the commentators or some of us HNAers - let's just put it down to nerves, eh? - but it's great to see that it was actually a really good performance.

all feedback from the game seems to be positive. im so happy the majority of games are away from home. cant wait for sat. hna got their wish and saw bikey and what a difference he makes.

judging by threads earlier in the week on here though I can imagine people must be dissapointed with the result as ssc will be staying in charge  and they have nothing to moan about...

The defence has to stay the same for Saturday surely, especially with Kuqi upfront..

Tis probably worth noting that in 20 games at the Keepmoat this season there have only been 27 goals - 14 by away sides, less than a goal a game, so a 1-0 win there is a very good result.

Agreed. Kuqi owned Pearce when Soton played there earlier in the season.

Very, very happy. By the sounds of things the logical change to formation had the expected effect, Marek able to get on the ball and create with it. Excellent to see Bikey back and in form.

8 games left, and if we win them all, we go up. We're good enough, we always have been, and if we maintain the level of performance of 2nd half last night, then I see no reason why we can't win them all.
