Ashfordroyal
Huntley & Palmer Bikey at right back with Pearce back in the middle

Good shout.

Stretch, Ingi (when available), Pearce, Bikey

A settled back four that could take us all the way (next year)

Will be(and is) too slow next year.

Yep and so was Sheringham slow...didnt stop him playing knocking 40.

Snowball needs to stat up games with Ingi against games without Ingi. I would image it to make good reading in Ingi's favour.

Can't wait for Snowball, so did it myself.

Without Ingi:-

Played 11 won 3 Lost 3 Drawn 4

With Ingi must be then:-

Played 28 won 16 lost 6 Drawn 7

So we DO perform better with Ingi in the team

If you run the stats on Harper you will also find we are better with him in the team than without.

Ivar's slow, but extremely solid and reads the game well. He's probably no longer Prem quality (assuming he ever was) but I can't think of any centre back in the Championship that I would replace him with. We are really missing his presence.

CMRoyal Second yellow. The idiot once again got booked for dissent.

Err... he got a second yellow for the tackle!

That's what I meant, sorry. He'd got booked for dissent earlier, then the foul was a second yellow. The ref - true to his general performance - managed to show the cards the wrong way round.

Are you sure about that or are you just keen to keep trying to dig yourself out of the orginal mistake? I'm pretty sure the first yellow was also for a foul. I'm sure that's what the Sky commentary team said too.

Gosh, it's hard to pare these quotes down just to the last three isn't it?

No, I pride myself on not succumbing to what seems like a general internet forum trend of spiralling into ever more specious arguments rather than admitting one's mistakes. I was convinced he got booked for dissent. If it was actually for a foul, I'm prepared to accept and admit that I was wrong.

kingsleyroyal Was it a straight red or 2 yellows? The ref showed red then yellow!!?? So, is he out for 3 games or 1?

Out for 2 games as been sent off already this season thus adding 1 game to the 1 game suspension

Murts was on BBCRB this morning, he was asked if the game was today would he be fit enough - his honest answer was no. However he is hopeful to be in contention by the time our next game comes around. Otherwise im sure it'll be Kelly putting his RB boots on.

I meant, we could go all the way to the prem next year.
I assume you point is that Ingi would be too slow in the prem if we went up this year?
I agree, but I also cant think of any of our current side that would cope well in the prem, if we do go up this year, and playing as we have done recently.
Unless we operate as a well oiled machine with SSC master tactics it could be a shocking prospect.

Absolute shite comparison. Sheringham didn't play in a position that would show him up for his lack of pace, where as with Ingi, and a nippy striker, its got bad news written all over it im afraid.

You served us well Ingi, tara.

Focher
Row Z Royal Rosenior > Murty on the attack

Murty > Rosenior in defence

If Murty isn't fit to see through Rosey's suspension, then I would imagine Boris will fill in there.

id prefer Windy Miller to Boris.

has never ever let us down at RB

and to be fair, very very rarely has he let us down anywhere on the pitch-can count his bad games on two or three fingers

Murts as our captain has been a HUGE part of our success over the years. If he's not on the pitch I think he should be playing some sort of role on the bench! There has not been 1 captain this season that I have seen put a rocket up anyones's arse when they fcuked up or not doing their job properly. He was always having a go at Sonko!!

'greed. It seems Rosey is now out for 3/4 weks due to a broken hand, and Coppell wont make any more loan signings, so its defo either Kelly or Murts (who should be fit in 2 weeks providing no further setbacks)......

He probably will be as he lives quite near Tadley and doesn't have much else to do.
