I actually felt a bit of inner anger reading their thread. The Burnley fans were appalling, the most exciting thing to happen in their stands was the fans trying to run onto the pitch. After the goal they weren't bad but we still matched them. We were singing for at least 15 mins before kick off and made noise throughout the first half. At the start of the 2nd we were a bit quiet but we found our voice again and even made an effort after going behind. I honestly can't believe how they can consider our support quiet and theirs good. Maybe 90% of Burnley fans are deaf. If we can recreate the atmosphere we made last Sunday against Birmingham we'll show them how a good home crowd should really respond to a play-off game.

And the comment about the Burnley fans rocking the car and breaking wing mirrors as if it's part and parcel of the game. Get serious, football is not about violence and intimidation at all and I hold anybody who disagrees with that in very low opinion. I met a very well reasoned Burnley fan at the station afterwards and had a good chat about the game and feelings about the next leg. Chatted about Glen Little and how important Coyle is to Burnley and things like that. That's what football fans should be like. By all means have banter in the stands and indeed anger in the stands. It shouldn't be happening on the streets though. Reading that other board alone is making me want to beat them on Tuesday night so much more.

Oh I'm sure it helped that the commentators were blatantly based in a home stand. Just that the impression from coverage of the game is nothing like what it seems people at the match heard.

Rosenior has always been passionate about winning. He is usually the first one to take his shirt off and throw it in the crowd if we win, and always seems to look the most depressed when we lose.

That did piss me off more than losing the game. The fact that they were silent up until the penalty, and then having the nerve to be so cocky about it and sayong how great there support was. I hope they have a long depressing trip back to Burnley on tuesday night.

Indeed so we shall HOPE we do beat them and win the aggregate! I do think It'll be much harder then everyone thinks though. They'll probably just defend and defend then bang us on the break. So for that reason, I think an early goal is crucial on Tuesday! If we can get it then hopefully we will settle down and go for it!

Shane Long in fairness runs his heart out and always applauds the fans after every game. At the end of the match on Sat he was one of the few looking to engage us as he went down the tunnel, trying to gee everyone up a bit.

I agree with some of the posts earlier. Rosenior's attitude is top drawer. He's always looking to keep the game flowing and he's is clearly very passionate, its just a shame he can't pass!

oh, and LOL@ anyone who thought Sat was hoofball bollocks. We played a really good away game, Burnley created nothing and we got chances on the break

Reading have a long and proud tradition of whinging players. I remember with fondness the great Trevor Morley or Ray Houghton managing to complain about every decision. Rosenior (and Kitson) are merely following in their illustrious footsteps.

Dissent is not acceptable, especially in a defender. Even more so in one almost incapable of clearing the ball to a Reading player, or in fact passing to one in general.
