Rawlie19 If he'd joined Burnley instead of us all those years ago he'd be in the Premier League now... Actually, no, he would have been let go due to being actually not very good. Coppell bought the best out of him (plus the fact he had to play for his place against a very good Convey) and now he's gone back to being the player he was before. He's had his 2 good seasons.

Nobody likes a cry baby btw Stephen. Suck it up and get on with your job. If you're good enough you'll earn a place in a Premier League club.

He was on his way to Bradford (not Burnley) - in which case he would not have had a sniff of the Championship, let alone the Premier League.

LOL - he only opted to sign a new contract because no-one else came in for him.

Good bye and good riddance - he is partly to blame for our relegation and also our lack of promotion this season. If he'd actually concentrated on playing the game properly, instead of just appearing to turn up, run around a bit and take the money - we'd all be happier.

1960 As with Coppell losing it towards the end, but to whom we owe a huge debt, Shunt also gaves us a couple of good years. Can nobody remember when he was providing shedloads of assists for Doyle and, later, his brother to lap up? OK, maybe it's time for him to go, but I don't see any reason to be as abusive as most people on this thread.

I'm happy that at all times Coppell was giving it 100%.

I don't feel the same can be said of Hunt, hence the greater criticism.

It's laughable that a man who in his last Reading game was kept out of the team by Simon Church and Jimmy Kebe believes he is worthy of a place in the Premiership.

Why does everyone get so bitter when a player suggests he want to leave the club.

Why would anyone want to work at McDonalds, if they could work at a Michelin star restaurant?

All the best Hunty, a good if not great player who for some reason just didn't have it the second half of last season. Although it could be worse, you could have spent the second half of the season behind a keyboard bitching

But in this case it's more like being a McDonalds standard worker who almost became an Aids Chicken man but believes he could be head chef at a Michelin star restaurant.

Since you work in McDonalds, you're obviously happy.

In all fairness overall he's been a decent player for us. However his form/attitude since Christmas after not getting his self publisised transfer, both last season and this season was shocking. It also wound me up that every time a reporter spoke to him, he felt the need to mention playing in the Premiership and leaving if we didn't get promoted.

Like Coppell and Harper we'd of been better off had he left last summer.

To answer one of the earlier posts, I've joined the queue to drive him to Everton's reserves.

I think the reason why so many people are being abusive is because he thinks he's better than he is and was frequently flirting himself to other clubs in the press. Coppell even said that one or two players will be disappointed nothing happened in the transfer windows. We've seen it with shorey that when a player wants to leave and cant get that transfer they play poorly. Shunt was quite clearly playing for a move at the start of the season and yes he was playing well. But when he didnt get his transfer he just gave up, threw his toys out the pram and had his wages bumped up only to play even worse. He's been sh1te for over half this season, the second half of last season and as a result we've also lost a quality winger (convey) when he needed a run of games. Wherever he goes in the prem he will get found out to be an average player and be happy to sit on £X amount a week more than he would at reading.

It's the very fact he's talking about it in the media, Does he think football managers scout via the back pages of the news of the world to see which players are available?

If a McDonalds worker kept banging on in the press (Catering weekly perhaps?) about how he wanted a change and was going to leave to work at a Michelin star restaurant I suspect it would cheese off his less well paid loyal co-workers who are at the peak of their careers flipping burgers.

I agree with Hunt on everything accept his loyalty there. It is time for both of us to have fresh starts. But he hasn't been very loyal. He's wanted away plenty and caused problems because of it mouthing off.

I wouldn't take less than £1m, because I think if necessary he could still be a useful asset. Ideally I think we could get £2m. Anything more is bonus.

i like the way he says the championship has been physically demanding as if he's never played in it before. You'd expect this from a player with quality or someone who has never played there. What a TWAT.

For the last two seasons he's been pretty good up until the january transfer window, then cr@p after that (ie once he's got a better contract).

Whilst I'm driving Hunt to Everton, I'll run over Kebe. Seriously we could really do with 2 new wingers who can consistantly cross the ball into the box, rather than into the stand.
