At least it looks as though Church will be playing in his proper position and as it's in Wales who knows what might happen.
Is this the first league game for God knows how long that we don't have an Irishman starting?

See my edit.
The question still stands-When was the last league game that we started without a single Irishman, bearing in mind that Tabb is thought to be Irish?

I can see your parents brought you up well. It's such a shame we will have to say goodnight to you at half time.

Anyway enough of this frivolity and back to the match. We're going to lose something nil.

Einstein agogo is marek injured?

nice to see kebe getting a rest ,hopefully a long one
[/img]

A very, very, very long one. Glad to see Henry given a chance, but NHunt on the bench? His injury must still be hampering him.

I think Marek is still a way off match fitness, but where oh where will goals come from? My guess is with 3 strikers on teh bench and only one unproven one starting, BR's hoping to keep things tight at 0-0 for 60-70 mins, and then bring on a couple of strikers to put the cat amongst the pidgeons. Or am I just clutching at straws?

Still, 107 seems to be working on t'internet, so hope sprngs eternal!!!!

C'mon U RRZZZZZ!!!

A bit surprised to see Church starting ahead of Long

Are they just taking it in turns or is Rodgers just a bit lost without a decent forward?

We have a striker (Church) that doesn´t score a lot!

History:
Crewe 14 games and 1 goal.
Yeovil 6 games and 0 goals.
Wycombe 9 games and 0 goals.
Leyton 13 games and 5 goals.
Reading 4 games and 0 goals.

Total: 46 games and 6 goals

I like the look of that team but Church needs to produce as he's done nothing so far.

Does anyone still wish to insist that Harper is not in the team because he isn't fit?

Average age 22y 7d, our 5th youngest ever starting XI in League or Knock-out Cups, and it doesn't contain a teenager!

Out of interest, our youngest ever winning starting XI was aged 22y 6d, 5/12/81 3-2 home to Lincoln City in old D3.

I have a feeling were playing for a point here. Pretty sure that Karacan and Cisse will both be playing as defensive midfielders. I don't think Henry suits this formation. Kanu is okay but he still needs a few more games before hes used to the Championship. Church up front on his own is a worry. I reckon our best chance of scoring is a corner or a Davies shot from distance.
