....or did anyone else, after looking at us bottom of the league, and witnessing another poor performance, think.....ah.....it's just like the good old days?

Gone are the premiership years (for a good while anyway) and here are the years of worry with the constant threat that we could quite easily be relegated.
We didn't have that fear before last season because we knew the squad was fine. But here we are out of the comfort zone once more.

RFC's Golden Years were 2005-06 to 2008-09. Fact. We enjoyed them whilst they lasted. We are now returning to our natural level for a breather. Wonder if I'll still be around to witness the Renaissance?!

When I started following RFC we hadn't even had a promotion for 45 years, and it took another 5 to get one. Since then it's been about 40 years of a roller coaster. Hope it's not another 40 years of tedium. Of course, Mr Mad has shown himself to be RFC's 2nd Tier Frank Waller, in that he hasn't the balls to establish RFC in the top flight, and is happy to poodle along in the 2nd tier. To be fair, it's taken him nearly 20 years to establish us in the 2nd tier, so let's not get too greedy. As I've said elsewhere, we will not see RFC playing PL footy again whilstever Mr Mad is in charge. We will need to wait for the ownership to change before we can harbour relaistic thoughts of PL for RFC. It's just the way it is. We should be realistic.

Still can't wait for Saturday though. Saddo.
