Now what a hall of fame is though:

HTH.

The way we could do it is.

1) Have to have played in at least five competitive seasons for us.

2) Has to have retired at least five years ago.

And every year there could be a vote for players on a list (on here for example or at the stadium) and one of them could be put in our hall of fame.

The list could be something like this:

1) Stuart Beavon - 396 appearances and 44 goals over 10 years at the club.

2) Ronald Blackman 158 goals for us.

3) Steve Death - 471 appearances over 13 years with the club.

4) Maurice Evans - 407 appearances over 12 years with the club.

5) Michael Gilkes - 393 appearances and 43 goals over 13 years with the club. (Retired 2003).

6) Mick Gooding - 314 appearances and 26 goals over 8 years with the club.

7)) Martin Hicks - 500 appearances over 13 years with the club.

8 ) Jimmy Quinn - 182 appearances and 71 goals in 5 years with the club (Retired 2004).

9) Trevor Senior 301 apps 156 goals over 10 years with the club. Over 7 years at the club.

10) Scott Taylor - 207 appearances and 33 goals over 7 years at the club (Retired 2002).

In the first year we could induct two people and one a year after that.

There's a lot of people I'd want in there before Scott Taylor to be honest !

I'm not really sure what the point would be of this.

Halls of Fame always seem so artificial. and always manage to leave lots of very deserving people out.

I wouldprefer something along the lines of the honours board at Lords where you become eligible for achieving something specific.

Why not look to have boards in the entrance to the main reception which list everyone who has
- played 100,200, 300, 400 and 500 times for the club
- scored 50,100,200,300 goals
- kept 50, 100 clean sheets
- won full international honours while at the club
- been voted into the PFA team of the season
- been voted RFC player of the year
- been a member of a squad that has won an honour
- received a red card

Non controversial / objective, pretty easy to include people from throughout the history of the club

I may well not be !

Out of ointerest why is Taylor on you rlist and Parky, Murts, Archie and Adie Williams aren't. All of them I would rank way ahead of Scottie in terms of their role at the club and their right to be included in any list of all timers.

Having reread the criteria I know understand why som eof the above didn;t make it - 5 year retirement rule....

Have to have retired five years ago. See my other poll! B*llocks. Parky would have been an option. Oops.
