IdealDirk GentlyRoyal Lady "we forgot everything we were taught" - isn't it the manager's job to MAKE sure they know EXACTLY what they're meant to be doing and if they do appear to be forgetting on the pitch, to REMIND them - tell them where they should be, who they should be marking??
If only life was that simple. That is the lament of every manager in the game ....
It is that simple.
Players should have predefined roles, they should know what they are doing, that there is strength in the system.
They should know if for example the DR gets the ball, he should then advance 15-20 meters, and then do either one of two things, cross early or take on his man.
These sort of things should be made clear by the manager
We have none of that now. What we have seems a total mess, CHAOS.
by Dirk Gently » 21 Sep 2009 20:06
handbags_harris Forgive me if I'm not spotting the obvious, but what is a DR?
Also, what happens if a) there is no direct path to advance 15-20 metres, b) nobody to cross it to, and c) more than one man to take on? If he then finds something else to do, is that total chaos, good presence of mind from the opposition defenders, or blind stupidity from the DR (whatever that is)?
My point is that it's not that simple. Believe it or not, Championship Manager does not give you a particularly realistic insight into the world of football management.

MaguireRoyal Lady You're a charmless, bigoted pcnt but it's not all about you m8.
I'm not "making stuff up" I said I wouldn't be surprised if he said those things at half time.
That's my opinion on what Noel Hunt said. I don't care if I'm 100% wrong and 100% of people on here don't agree with me. It's my opinion and I'll say it if I want. Cheers then.
Hating him for stuff you've decided he's said without any evidence to back it up is crazy.
I've also reported you (again) for your deliberately offensive and unnecessary cursing in your previous email.

Ideal ..which in turn brings us to another thing which Brendan Rogers doesn't seem to be very good at, man management.
