Royal Lady In any case, Winchester, which team are you referring to, only he's used 31 players so far this season trying to formulate one.

Better than Coppell's policy of choose 11 players and stick with them regardless.

You haven't answered the question, which "team" are you referring to??

The one today, minus Kebe and plus HRK.

winchester_royal Rodgers is hurting just as much as we are ATM, and to be fair to him he is putting out a team which is capable of beating almost any team in this league, but they are bottling it as soon as pressure comes on them.

The results will come.

The team of today, minus Kebe and plus HRK?? You still reckon that team is capable of beating ALMOST ANY TEAM IN THIS LEAGUE??

Why do you think Mills isn't being given a chance?

Because O'Dea is class and Ingi is a rock.

Next question.

Why did we buy Mills?

Is he going to play Mills and expect him to come straight into the team when O'Dea's loan is over?

Why did Coppell buy Halford, Fae, Halls, etc...

Some players aren't as good as one hopes, others struggle to fit in.

Rodgers isn't the only manager to have ever bought a dud. (Even though I actually think Mills is a good player)

Yeah, but a £2million dud, when he knew he had precious little money to spend? He could at least have given him a chance, even if he did eventually replace him with a fit Ingi.

He had a couple of games and was satisfactory. O'Dea was offered on a silver platter and is, imho of course, better than either Pearce or Mills.

As Ingi is also better (at the moment) than Pearce and Mills - again, imho - then what is there to complain about?

I just think we've wasted another £2 million, that could have been better spent in other areas - up front for a start. Plus, we're never going to be in a position to buy O'Dea from Celtic, even if they wanted to sell him, so when he inevitably goes back, we're stuck in defence again - at least playing Mills and getting him to learn "Brendan's World Class Way" would mean we'd have consistency throughout the season. Still, who am I to question what the manager of my football team does. I'm but a mere supporter, who coughs up good money to the club every year, but has no say in anything. Even on a football related internet message board.

Back on track.
Kebe made at least two tackles in the first half but seriously went missing in the second. A simple through ball down the wing went awry and running rings around the defense is all well and good UNTIL you lose balance / direction and , (i think) that was a pass into the North stand.

Kebe gets the pulse racing for the right and wrong reasons, but mostly the wrong reasons. Sadly.

He's either a frigging genius or clamity clown.

I think I heard something. Ahhh yes. I know what it is. It is W_R's Mummy calling for him to come indoors, have his cocoa and go to bed as he has a very special day tomorrow petting all the nice animals at Godstone Farm.

Royalee Thank you for costing us a goal and 2 points again for failing to run 5 yards and causing us to lose possession. Thank you also for only putting one decent ball in all game and being a lazy lump of shit. Piss off to the reserves where you belong, McAnuff showed you up today for what you are - a complete waste of space who only has one good game every 7 or 8.

Why do you think this genius of a manager is playing Kebe?

Has Rodgers met your expectations thus far?

Why pick on Kebe the whole team were at his standard today. Wingers tend to be good when your midfield gains the ball and can use it effectively and control the tempo and direction of the game.

It took Watford 30 minutes to suss our midfield formation today and after that they were in no danger of losing. I'll give Rodgers some credit he realised he couldn't let it the centre be run through like Peterborough so he yanked off the two guys who were not picking up anybody and not getting on the ball (Siggy and the frankly ineffective Howerd) and tried to regain the initiative with a traditional 442 whcih at best stabilised the situation.

It gives me no pleasure to say that RFC at the moment are a RELEGATION side with all the traditional attributes - can' get a win, can't close out a game, can't make their tactical plan work for more than a bright opening 20 minutes, and even if they play relatively well they don't get a result.

For my money this team has to get physical, in your face and ugly - forget about world class tactics and beautiful football and press the opposition until they are sick and tired of it, get the ball forward into the corners as often as possible and press the opposition in their own half as often as possible. If you can then establish a platform of scruffy ugly results then you have the luxury of making it look prettier - THIS SEASON IS ABOUT STAYING IN THIS LEAGUE NOTHING MORE NOTHING LESS.

Do you sit near me cos I said most if not all of this during the game today.

Maybe this explains everything. We had Frankie Howerd out there today. Titter ye not!

Chaney only 56 pages to go..racist royalee back to form

What is racist about pointing out that Kebe is a total waste of space and shouldn't be anywhere near a football pitch?

Take your political correctness nonsense, fold it up in your Guardian, and shove it where the sun doesn't shine. This is a forum about football in case you hadn't noticed. As the vast majority of Reading fans have now come to realise, (about a season and a half too late), that Kebe is an utter waste of space. I haven't read a single post denigrating him for the colour of his skin, merely his TOTAL lack of a footballing brain and indeed skill!!!

I didn't see you jumping on the racist band wagon when the ImpOSTER was copping grief a couple of seasons back. So what's your problem? Do you have a "white" thing?? Eh?? Hypocracy is alive and well and living in Chaney Towers clearly.

Well said Strap.

Does anyone remember Kebe's debut? He came on as a sub but I can't remember the opposition but it may have been Villa. His first touch resulted in laughter around the Mad Stad. He has not improved. What I don't get is what SSC and the man with the big watch see in him.
