Has it ever happened before Ian? I do seem to recall a game where he put in 2 crosses above knee height and we scored from both, although not sure if we won. So I make that 1 in 44 starts and 9 subs, or say 2% chance?

Back on topic, Both Rodgers and Burns seem(ed) to have an inordinately inflated degree of belief in their abilities - sadly both of which proved illusory.

As I'm so frequently told, I don't go to any games, but I can think of two games he's won for us in the last 6 months. Barnsley this season and Norwich away last season. So our only win this season came courtesy of Kebe.

That must really stick in your craw.

I think the only thing this proves is that width wins games. And we have precious little of that at the moment - and Kebe is it (now possibly McAnuff). Draw your own conclusion.

His churning of the team selection process bears most comparison to Tommy Burns.

:?:

We've had width in 3 of the four games I've watched this season. We've drawn all 3.

TB used more goalkeepers than some managers used players! can't remember the exact figures, but I think he used 41 players to find 11 who were pretty shit anyway!

Both can be verbs but only "Burns" can be a noun.
Would you prefer to see Rodgers burn, or Burns rodger, or even Rodger's burns?

I don't think Burns gave a game to many home grown players, he preferred players from elsewhere, mostly mediocre.
But I take your point with the comparison.

Burns lost 4-0 away at PNE. Rodgers beat the oxf*rd 2-1.
