How many times must it be said? Lita was not released or "let go for free" - he refused to sign a new contract!

I dont think that is right..? and maybe if you are right. If you were Lita sent out on loan couldnt get in the first team would you re-sign?

You appear to forget he was dogshit every time he played for us for 2 years. So he scored against us today. Not exactly set the world alight for M'boro either. He's got the same number of goals as Church or Hunt, in half as many appearances again.

Our bunch of cut price replacements couldn't set a fuel dump alight!

You get what you pay for and, as a consequence of Madejski's overnight balancing of the books, we have got a Div 1 strike force at absolute best.

Forest Gump I have no idea why the plank of a DoF is still at the Club. we don't need one and if we did it would need to be someone with at least the barest of knowledge about the game.

Anyway, today was Lita'a day at our expense and I don't blame him. The way this club has treated most ex-players in the past is enough to motivate them adequately enough to want revenge.

Hamhead wouldn't recognise a good player if he had C. Ronaldo on his back.

Clive Ronaldo is not the answer

Is anyone actually surprised that Lita was up for that game yesterday.

he's hardly been in the team but was always likely to play - if he couldn't raise his game for that he was never ever going to again.

LOLz @ how Hammond was hated on here a few years ago and people wanted him out, when we went up he was the greatest thing ever, now we are struggling he is hated on here.

Bet 99% of users on here have no idea what his job even entails, doesn't matter though, he is a cracking scapegoat.

YOU LOT ARE UNBELIEVABLE. How many former players have played a blinder against their former clubs and scored, quite a bloody few. He's done naff all for Boro apart from against us and now everyone is saying what a bad decision it was to release him. His attitude was poor for us, he did oxf*rd all in the last 2 seasons and he was overpaid. Honestly you lot, grow a bloody pair!

Don't get worked up about it, they said Coppell was s*** until we went top of the league. Rodgers will be the best things since sliced bread if we win a few games.

This should be renamed kneejerkreactionanyone?

Good squad player, brilliant in his first two seasons, then fell out of favour and never given a proper run in the side even with the other strikers underperforming.

Better than any striker we currently have but would never have been offered a deal with JM wanting all the high earners out

Alot of you are talking about Lita as a footballer.. "The Leroy" isnt about getting loads of gaols and playing well. Its about fighting in clubs and filming yourself shagging 19 year old white girls..

Thats what non of our strikers have... Any personality

Had a good game yesterday but that doesn't detract from the number of times he was dogshit for us.

People seem to forget this. I think he has scored twice for 'Boro this season? But that fact obviously means he would be scoring for fun this year for us?

Most worryingly

Leroy didn't even have to "raise his game" yesterday.

I think I like Lita more now than I did last season.

Where is J Tabb?

Is Tabb injured, I thought he was one of our better players towards the end of last season?

tabb going out on loan apparently

awful decision IMO, since he gives us tackling, and wing options, but we have do a plethora of similarly average midfielder

lita played ok yesterday
but he wanted out, and ran down his contract in order to increase his financiial rewards this season

to blame NH is daft

2 world wars, 1 world cup
leon I'm sorry. This is all bollocks.

Lita didn't really do it for us- and certainly not in the last 2 seasons where he was sh*t quite frankly. Up to his goal he was shockingly wasteful.

+1
I'm no Lita lover but, on todays performance, the Boro' move was the best thing for him

A cracking goal

Terrorised our defence.........made them look embarressingly poor.......not bad for a "muvva" who

was sh*t quite frankly +1 to quote.

Eh? Read my post again....

was he good in the last 2 seasons? no.

yesterday (as I wrote) he was wasteful before his goal. At least 3 excellent opportunities - no goals. A pathetic far post header and that "shot" into the North stand.

It was a good goal no doubt about that - however he'd had a few goes beforehand. He'd struggle in our side - we don't create 5 shots on goal in a game....

Dogshit that scored 15 goals in our promotion season despite missing the last two months injured plus a great equaliser at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day that those of us there will never forget plus the winner against Boro in our first ever Prem match. I wish we had more dogshit like that now.

What has this to do with Hammond? Hammond was told to tell Leroy his contract was not going to be renewed - or does Nicky now pull the financial strings as well as, apparently, telling Clodagh who to buy?
