Why not just vote with your feet and not go?

This could easily get some air time with the Reading Post and local media. Far more effective than some idiot with a bit of card board aloft, or a pair of pants being thrown onto the running track becuse a retarded Reading fan can't throw properly.

Pick a home game & stay at home.

Hurt's John Madejski in the pocket, and message firmly received.

It's gotta be "World Class" Day, surely?

Everyone turns up with inflatable globes or dressed like World Class players.

This'll give a nod to Brendans favourite saying and ill also be a less than subtle dig at the shite we'll be fielding.

It still hurts him. Beer sales, food sales, etc. Hurts you too, as you have paid for that seat, but if you want to make a point, staying away for one game is better than someone holding a banner up.

Way more impact if you were to leave at half-time and it means people can make up their own mind to stay or go, no drama, no props no organisation, just eerie quiet and empty seats!

Personally I couldn't disagree with these ideas more, I understand the sentiment behind it, as I'm getting bored of watching Reading right now... I can't remember the last one that was enjoyable to watch. But I would rather turn up and try to have a bit of fun at a home game for once, even if we lose 5-0 and don't have a shot on goal.

Not sure I fancy a theme day but if one takes off... fair enough.

I'd prefer that we get out in force and show the manager and the team what passion is and how much we love our football club even if we disagree with the management of the team, the new signings, the owner's timid approach, the lack of goals or whatever it is that gets your particular goat at the moment...

At least if we do that we can go home - no matter what happened on the pitch - having had a bit of fun and without feeling that we'd completely wasted our time. Watching crap, boring football is bad enough, but watching crap, boring football in a crematorium is even worse. (not that i'm judging anyone, or pointing fingers - i'm just as guilty of being subdued by the passionless displays on the pitch)

Now I'm not saying that we should all be RTGs for the night and ignore what we see on the pitch, just that we should show our passion and pride even if the team fails to match it. And then at the end people can all boo and jeer as much as they want.

That's exactly the point RTR, come, stay, come, go at half time, don't come at all, it's your choice!

Your admirable method has been tried a hundred times previously and this is where we are now, up shit creek without a paddle!!

SJM met with representatives of the pants day protest to try and understand what the feeling and intention was.

It's his club, we are his investors, we deserve answers, explanations and reassurance by way of a contingency plan if BR fails!

Getting people to turn up with stuff is much easier than getting people to turn up and then bog off, or not turn up at all.

And it doesn't hurt hte club financially, which is counter productive. It also shows the fans are passionate rather than just apathetic.

I'd be in if I was going, but it's QPR and then the pub for Leicester. Get to see more games that way.

Yeah I know that, in fact that's what I usually say. I'm not saying that doing what I'm saying will mean the team take note and play well. I'm just saying it'd be a lot more fun than going and sitting there like lemons again or leaving at half time etc.

I'd just like for once this season to go home and not feel like I'd have been better off doing something else.

I'm one of the ones who starts off loud and ends up giving up because the team just doesn't respond or the rest of the fans have already given up. I'd just like us to ignore what's on the pitch for a night and have a bit of a laugh. Then after that, like I said people can boo and jeer or not turn up to the next game. Whatever.

For a moment there I thought you were advocating that instead of leaving the stadium at the end of a match, we all hung about in our seats and refused to leave. Shame, I was almost with you, brother.

How about "Getting behind the Team Day".

Sing like you have never sung before. Shout like you have never shouted before. Give it your all day.

Oh, forgot, this is HNA.

I guess we'll have to agree to differ on this one, getting people to do something requiring props and effort would be a tough call IMHO, but good luck with it, I suspect you will need it! :)
