Terminal Boardom Time for SJM to go on the pitch pre-match and give a rousing speech to stir up the troops! I think not. He is a gutless coward.

If you remember he tried that last season and got a stoney silence for his trouble. I wouldn't do it if I was him either!

If Madejski were gutless, he wouldn't be a multi-millionaire. Blame him if you're looking for a scape goat, but you can't call him a coward.

As for his valuation of the club, when you consider it has very little debt and a lot of assets, £80 million isn't too far off the mark. A little high yes, but not by much I wouldn't think.

Sir Dodger Royal Where's the Chairman is he dead?

I saw a muppet in the upper tier of the West Stand but not sure who he was or why he cruicifying Reading FC.

He has no balls and is gutless. What about an appearance on the pitch so that we can mock the Madman. Strange he is such a whimp. For one who has such a great ego and has spent years chasing Press & Radio coverage he appears to have lost his voice.

These STATS say it all about Reading FC:

STAT ATTACK

Reading.............Ipswich
4....Shots On Target.....6
13...Shots Off Target....312...Fouls (Conceded)...13
12.........Corners.........5
0.......Yellow Cards.......0
0.........Red Cards........0

Only a plonker like the Chairman who reckons Reading FC is worth £100million could take no action and be in such cuckoo land that the men in white coats will be coming for him soon.

Thanks for yesterday but you are and will no doubt continue to ruin Reading FC with your lack of leadership.

Time to clear off and make it quickkkkkkkkkkk.

Even the RTGs have no balls. What this Club needs is demonstration against the Chairman. Alex Ferguson could do little in the current situation.

Come on let's give the Madman a rough ride. You know it makes senseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Ipswich had 312 shots ?

Ipswich had 6 On target and 3 off target. Somewhat more accurate than Reading and they were bottom of the league.

Unless I have missed something I haven't yet see any accounts for the last 12 months end ing in June 09. Also what about inter company transfers?

They released a financial statement not detailed accounts of all the associated companies. The devil is always in the detail and that will be kept closely to the Madman's chest.

Gutless fool. A demonstration is called for or are all the RTG's gutless as well.

SDR reckons they are so Real Facts from the Main Mannnnnnnn. You know it makes sense.

Yeah, a demonstration against Madejski in order to force him into pulling the plug on RFC really sounds like the way forward doesn't it?

I am not hugely happy with the direction in which the club is going to say the least, but you can't sack the man who owns the club, lock, stock and barrel! I can't see many sensible people queuing around the block to take over a loss making concern either.

WoodleyRoyal Newcastle and Rangers still have a lot of debt, we will be almost debt free by the end of the season
Newcastle and Rangers have more potential. I can't see anyone making enough money out of Reading FC to earn back their investment.

The value of a football club is determined by it's assets and it's potential to make cash, That cash comes from ticket sales and tv revenue and history proves you can't guarantee the tv revenue will materialise

Newcastle currently have debts in excess of £50m. Yes, they have far greater potential but this figure would be hanging over a new owner.

Can't for the life of me work out why any sane person would buy a football club anyway - unless they support it in the first place.

I think you have to look at how the wealthy operate, they all want the same as each other, yet it has to be better, we saw that in the JM programme to some extent. You are nothing without a Knighthood he said.

Well how did he get his??? he had to become high profile using his money, he did that in a couple of ways, one of which was RFC, he also said he wants his money back.

This is the mentality that says you must keep accumulating money all your life, then die!!!!! Lots of folk do it, pensioners, who have saved fro retirement, and then will not use the money, sadly it is often human nature.

LOLz @ all of the usual nonsense on this thread generally but especially...

RoyalBlue As for the selected financial information that he finally released - if you are prepared to take that as gospel then I reckon used car and double glazing salesmen would have a field day with you. Just look out for that email from the African diplomat keen to share his wealth with you!

RB, if you're so sure that Madejski gave false information why don't you put it to him, maybe in public and see what he comes back with. Hey, if he sues you for defamation or something your lawyers will surely get a real inside look at the books and you'll be able to sit down in court with the smug grin of someone who was right all along, unless of course you're not, which would be aterrible shame

RoyalBlue Perhaps he is now tired with his toy.

Well, it got him the knighthood he craved. He doesn't need it anymore.

No we won't. We'll run at a more acceptable level of debt and a lower loss each season, but we'll be no where near out of debt given how much we owe Madejski.

I'd rather have debt (which he said he is prepared to write off) to someone like him than millions owed to banks

Exactly. Extremely low interest loan to be paid back anytime >>>>>>> extremely high interest and risky loan with a bank that might go out of business.

Don't disagree with either of those, just pointing out we won't be debt free as was originally posted.

The problem with either type of debt is what happens if the owner suddenly dies or their other business interests collapse for whatever reason. Would their family be as happy to let such debt run on with the same terms - or would a new owner?

Quite agree. In fact, with the loss of the parachute payments the income will obviously be significantly less than the last 2 seasons (isn't it £11 million a season?). Does that mean we will be trimming the squad to suit? I predict that it will through contract non-renewals (Rosenior, Harper, Gunnarsson), but also player sales. I can't for the life of me think who will be sold for big money though. In other words, the debt is not going to be cleared any time soon.

The only way the debt will be cleared (short of suddenly discovering a team of Kevin Doyles) is by selling the club.
