Alan Partridge
Row Z Royal It was a hook for floyde when he gets back.

Already had the post match analysis

In summary Reading arent' very good

both goals were from our right hand side

Long is a disgrace and hould get a '10 game ban'

Terrible strikers, 2 weeks to get someone, Nope and then cya.

Only Long was terrible everyone else was ok but no stand out performers.

If you want an on-the-fence opinion, don't ask floyde!

rhroyal We still have Church and Rasiak available and Mooney available to recall. This is just about adequate considering that January is not far away. It sounds like we will sign this Icelandic guy to add to our ranks. Maybe 1 extra recruit on top up front would also be useful. In the mean time we've got some easier fixtures coming up and Church and Rasiak aren't doing a bad job at the moment.

I'm not worried about January, just the next few weeks. Rasiak isn't particularly athletic, he always seems to look pooped after 15 minutes. A sub would be useful. And Church's finishing at the moment is non-existent. No matter what anyone says about Long, I'd rather have had him on the bench than have no other strikers to call on at all.

Terminal Boardom What is it about the fact that there is no more money that some people just don't get? .

Yep, club were so poorly run that we had to sell our entire first team squad and cannot add to it as there is no money. Just like bradford, leeds, etc expecting league one next season.

Can't believe that the club is in such dire financial straits -

If this down to the club strategy and contracts/wages that have been paid, that has taken us to the brink, then Bugs needs to pay the price

If Egoman sees this as a a business, then its a business thats gone backwards, and as a result, someone at BOARD level shouls be paying the price for failure....tumbleweed there

Royalee Good to see that there are some on here who aren't total idiots when it comes to football.

Ah! so if we don't agree with your view, it's because we are idiots! you don't think yours is just an opinion the same as anybody else's then? It is somehow superior!

Right or wrong, yours is just an opinion, the same as anybody else's actually, unless you're going to show us your football expert CV, together with coaching badges and successful record in football management?

Whatever the reasons, we are a poor shadow of what we were and the results tell the real story, we're just not good enough. We keep lowering our sights to accomodate our situation and appear to be failing to strive for serious improvement.

That's my opinion based on the evidence and facts of the matter as reflected by the teams results and league position, the only real scenario that actually exists!

It's an unpalatable truth, but BR is learning, the team is poor and the money is unavailable to do much about it.

I want to believe in your opinion because it would be nice to be successful, but it seems like dreaming just now, doesn't it?

Why is everyone so obsessed with strikers? We conceded two soft goals today, were the strike force to blame? I believe we have the least clean sheets in the division now.

Old truism "if you don't concede you can't lose".

We're not scoring enough to offset those we concede, no. Fixing a leaky defence comes first.

Agree completely. That's why we're losing games.

Rodgers is in for the long haul. Forget any talk of him leaving. I spoke this week to someone close to the very heart of the club
and activities behind the
scenes. Brief was to slash the wage bill and by doing so let go of approx eighty percent of prem team. It was a start again process as we all know and Rodgers would only of gone if poor home run continues past Christmas or if he lost the dressing room. Wins are coming more frequently and more importantly the players absolutely love him, so he is here to stay!

Terminal Boardom What is it about the fact that there is no more money that some people just don't get? So it's another defeat. Get over it. We have two awkward home games coming up against the one team I want to beat more than any other and one that, strangely, I have never seen us play against!

It makes no difference who the manager is. Wenger and Fergie would struggle with what we have available.

Spot on.

With all due respect an educated 12 year old could have come up with the same scenario with or without a source, 'close to the very heart of the club'

You need to be more specific, with details and meaningful, newsworthy items to impress here!

You're source claims the players 'love him' I personally find that a bit like not wanting to see the back of a soft touch boss!

Mackay or Barrowclough, who should we keep Fletcher?

I agree with the sentiment but I don't agree that it makes no difference who the manager is. There are some in The Championship who in Rodgers' shoes would take Reading down this season. Fortunately, Brendan Rodgers will guide the team to safety before May and an assault on the play-offs in 2010-11.

Thank god for that.

The most important thing ATM is for BR to feel secure in his job, and not to resort to desperate tactics in order to save his job.

All the great revolutions took time to develop.
