They've timed this administration pretty cleverly, haven't they?

howser Uhmmm its a sad time if we are relying on other teams administration woes to improve our chances of staying up !!

But isn't that the whole point of running the club "properly"? I understand what you mean, but if there is no benefit from running a club "responsibly", everyone would simply borrow to the hilt, and go into Admin every 2 or 3 years to wipe out their debts at the expense of the creditors? Eventually no-one will want to lend to you and you will go to the wall. Whilst it's that scottish charlatan Fraud-on Clown's policy for ru(i)nning the England, back in the real world, the moral position must be to reward those who are fianancilly sensible/responsible.

Frankly if we only survive relegation because one or two other clubs are in Admin and are deducted 10 points each, well that's fine by me. Payback time for all the shit we as fans have had to stomach this year, (Mr Mad's cloth cutting etc).

andrew1957 It was always possible that this season relegation would be affected by clubs going into administration.

Sir Mad's prudent policy well may be the making of us if we can just survive this season. Several PL clubs are likely to go down the tube in the next few years and the football authorities will have to clamp down on debt/high wages.

what? are you an absolute and utter twat? yes - that was the strategy...to be successful..oh yes rely on all the other clubs to go bankrupt, whilst c*nting around selling off the team.

Wake up.

If we stay up due to our polyester policy can you imagine the cringeworthy speeches?

Frankly Leeds are going to take one of the promotion spots next season, the price of relegation to the second tier is not necessarily a disaster - Reading and Stoke in 98, QPR, Forest and Leicester now.

I think our vaunted youth team would do nicely down there.

A sign of how truly abysmal our season has been thus far is that a midtable team has been deducted 10 points and still find themselves above us in the table. Thanks Brendan :| .

It's generally a good rule of thumb that the first person in a disagreement to resort to abuse has got the weaker arguments (or lower intelligence).

In a situation where a number of clubs are feeling the financial strain, there's surely nothing wrong with suggesting that it's a good thing that those who behave responsibly and take the pain early in order to stay afloat (and incidentally don't screw their creditors by going into administration), should benefit from that approach.

What would you do if you were running out of money? Get a new credit card?

Agree with this, stupid post in between.

Madejski's running of the club has been what every sensible businessman would do, with the exception of not investing following the first Premiership season.

Focher lets hope that Watford's financial woes re surface as well!

Palace will lose the likes of Ambrose and Moses, this can only be great news for us.

You might as well join Madejski on the other planet if that's your plan for survival.

Hate to disappoint you but far from having their financial woes resurface Watford have just had someone lend them £500K for their transfer budget. And that's likely to be far more than tightarse Ego will provide for our survival campaign!

Relegation to League One will be a step closer towards administration for us too. Forget all the b*llocks we were fed about being such a well run club. If that had been the case, we wouldn't have ended up cutting our squad to shreds. Just what will Madejski be left to cut next season?!

it is sad, and makes me appreciate us having a club that is run properly, and not slating the chairman constantly like some of the twats on here.

Hear hear! anyone who doubts SJM's love for Berkshire need only listen to his interviews on BBCRB. Ok, the cloth analogy is overdone but for us simple football folk, when liabilities are greater than assets and SJM equity, then we're Crystalised!

And anyone who doubts his greater love for himself should listen to the same interviews!

Like so many wealthy self-made individuals No1 is what matters and has driven them all along.

As for such a well rub f*cking club - if we were that well run, how come we suddenly had to cut the cloth so f*cking savagely?

And a huge lol to anyone who thinks that this will save us. Like we will pick up more points than Palace between now and the end of the season.

Losing 10 points and having to sell any players they can get a decent fee for might do.
