Zammo
AndyRFC Its results like this that makes me wonder why I should bother

....because we support the club through thick and thin. Despite this being a piss poor league campaign, there are tiny drops of hope for the future (Sig, Jem, Church). We'll piss League One next season, and everyone will be "URZ" all over again.

It's Madejski's club, not ours and he's pretty keen to show it.

As for pissing League One, not once the Scissor Brothers have been chopping away again.

Schards#2 FFS grow a pair you whingeing gimps.

We are a relegation threatened side, Notts Forest and Sheff Utd are promotion chasing sides. Relegation threatened sides don't generally get results at promotion challanging sides.

It's all about the next 6-7 games. Less than ten points and were f**ked, we are not f**ked as a result of losing tonight.

Quite right.

But how about all the reactionary fukwits shut up going on about Madejski and get behind the players.

You know who Madejski is don't you? He's the one you were all singing for and applauding four years ago in your hysteria over promotion. You'd have had his babies then.

A little while ago McDermott was the hero. Now the job is 'too big for him'.

Well maybe you have all the answers. If so apply for the job yourselves.

But if we go down, do me one favour. P1ss off and support Man Utd.

But I trust you will pop back to see any big games.

Exactly.

Although it was sad to lose our unbeaten record at Brammall Lane over the last few years.

Take a bow son. Pretty sure Floyd is on a WUM anyway, but sadly some posters are that fickle that they're gonna be calling for everyones head, be it SJM or the captain of the U13 team.

Do you think players have minds on the FA cup games or is it just a case of bad luck and running into 2 sides in top form away from home?

Don't worry..way we're defending we'll be joining you at the bottom.

Just need to look to the next game and look to win it. Were we likely to lose to Nottingham Forest YES were we likely to lose to sheffield united YES. For me nothing has changed. In fact we have created more clear chances in the last three games (Forest, Burnley and Sheff United) then we have in any 3 games over the last 2 and half years. I would be far more worried if we played like we did in the first half against Forest.

What is a concern is we a) can't seem to put these chances away and b) dont seem to create anything until we give the opposition at least a one goal lead or have an injustice (i.e. Burnley). While this if it is not sorted quickly is almost definatly going to take us down we at least have something to be positive about.

However I do think we need to get both Howard and Tabb in and around the starting 11 (definatly at the expence of Cisse. Is that the second game in a row he has been subbed at half time while we are two down?) The reason for this is they have both recently been involved with relegation battles in this division and their experience could be invaluable (along with Griffin).
We also need to stop chopping and oxf*rd changing the bloody strike force, have any of them started 3 games in a row? It is becoming a joke.

Finally Mr. Mad need to make a decision regarding the manager, if not this week then straight after the Barnsley game. It is helping no one, not Brian, not the players, not a potential new manager who is going to have less and less time to sort out this mess, not the fans... A very good buisness man should know unstability and the unknown is not good in any buisness.

We need to get every advantage possible to get out of this mess and by Mr.Mad messing around with the manager, Brian changing 3 players every game, and claiming we need experience and playing players like cisse (who has played one and a half years at this level) over howard and tabb etc is just stupid.

We (the fans) need to get behind the team, am i annoyed at the situation, yes, would i have done it differently, yes. But as a fan i would do whatever it took to help the team and i can safely say (having spoken to a few of the players/ staff) been shouted at when a pass goes astray, a groan when shot goes over and been booed if we are not winning at half time does not help the players at all. Sure at some point something needs to be done but it is not going to be done overnight or tbh midseason with this regime (who are unlikely to go anywhere), we are still in a position where we could 'easily' get out of trouble as sheff wed have shown. The end of the season is the time to let the board know how let down you felt, don't buy a season ticket/ ticket, chant for the board to be sack, tell them they arent fit to wear the shirt whatever but while we have a fighting chance of staying up we should fight and we should fight together. That is all.

This run of games has come at an absolutely awful time.

Personally I'm beginning to think it was a mistake sacking Rodgers at that time. I wanted it done to get someone in to spend well in the window. Obviously we can't do that, so I'd have liked Hammond to put a tight leash on him, let him take the fall in a really tough run and THEN brought in McDermott.

But that's hindsight.

McDermott getting such a tough run, was always going to keep the fanbase polarised when we need to get behind the team and be positive. We'd all of liked to have picked up more points. But from the games we've played you can only really say Plymouth and maybe Brizzle we should have got more.

We were desperately unlucky with Brizzle to conceed such a soft penalty. We gave Forest and Sheffield good games (despite getting a nasty scoreline). This run would have been even harder without Newcastle being postponed.

4 of the 5 games being away from home. arguably hasn't helped.

I'm not happy with MaccyD. But you are right. It all comes down to the next month or so.

Add to that a few match saving performances from oppo keepers and there is cause for optimism.
It does seem we've been unlucky, and teams that get relegated tend to be the unlucky ones, so there is cause for pessimism.

50:50 in my opinion.

Promotion challengers win when they play badly.
Relegation sufferers lose when the play well.

We're doing one but not t'other. There is hope, but it is diminishing at the moment. Still, some easier games coming. Sheffield and Plymouth have both shown a bit of a run and you can pick yourself up. Palace could be in bother. Derby look in the shite. Scunny are still lingering...

So if barnsley beat us, does the season start the game after? I kind of like this, its like the big game doesn't actually start until we get a win

Rodgers' should never have been sacked.
He proved at Watford he needed time - time he didn't get.
You can't appoint a manager, flog your best players and expect miracles.
Poor decision, now showing.
