Maguire pLOLay-offs

You do realise we're in the relegation zone, right? Might want to concentrate on getting out of that before worrying about anything else.

Besides that we've got the FA Cup to win and I think a Cup & promotion double is asking a bit too much even for a team managed by Brian McDermott!

Mr Angry This is EXACTLY the sort of over-reaction that gets me going!!! Jeez - we have scraped past 3 God-awful teams and come out with wins, but to suggest we are play-off hopefuls as a result is just mad.

Just take each game as it comes. (insert other cliches here)

Agreed! although I am hoping for a 'season of two halves' we've hopefully had the really crap half, perhaps we can now knuckle down and consolidate our position in the Championship. Which would have been enough ambition for the season in the first place, given all the circumstances surrounding SSC departure and the tailoring necessities etc!

TBF if we hadn't suffered such a poor start under Rodgers then we'd probably be top six by now anyway, so it's all his fault really.

I'd settle for finishing a couple of places above our current position.

The interesting thing is that the next 8 games are all definitely winnable.

Palace are not what they were now that Moses has gone - best player I have seen at the Madstad in a long time
Blackpool - on a poor run
Newcastle - erratic away from home recently
Sheff Wed - were awful - improved recently but been playing bottom sides largely
Scunny - the worst Championship side I have ever seen at the Madstad
Derby - again awful when we played (we threw it away) improved recently but we have home advantage
Bristol - on a bad run
QPR - probably in the bottom 3 by the time we play them

I fully expect us to be comfortably mid table or higher by the time that sequence of games is finished.

Thinking about it, maybe I should revise my sentence to 3 places, so that it can be used at any point in the season.

Sarah Star The thought of going up with this team is quite frightening actually.

seconded! with our midfield and strike force we'd make derby's last top flight run out look a fairytale
lets just get one game at a time and try to stay up, we'll build for next year.

it was kinda tongue in cheek....would have to be one hell of a run!

All very well, but by them time we have played half of them, they "could be on a run" or even sorted out their away form wobble...

Seriously need to not get ahead of our selves, those games and that sequence has come at the most perfect time, but only to get us out of this mess!!

Had we a better striker then we may well be talking, but the chances Church is missing right now, we will be lucky...

We need a striker who can contribute rather than rely on Shane Long and the Sig. Take our chances and who knows...

I agree we'd be there or thereabouts. Shame he got his approach so completely wrong really isn't it...

I just done the prediction thing on the BBC thing for the rest of the season and we are going to finish 5th, and meet Cardiff in the playoffs.

Strangely I have just done the predictor for just the next 6 games - but assumed for the heck of it that Reading won all 6 - which is not impossible as 4 are winnable home games and I think we are favourites against Scunny away - of the 6 just Blackpool looks very difficult...........

and I was astounded that we came out 7th - on equal points with 6th!!!

Come on URZZZZZZZZZZ

If we win on Saturday we would be 6 points behind Blackpool with 2 games in hand and they are currently 8th.
