i didnt agree with the booing heskey post sunday...thats just a bit of banter and he was being a bit of a knobber that day.
but booing savage is a waste of time, firstly i cant really recall anything other than his constant moaning and play acting that hes ever done to Reading. secondly.. he lives to play the panto villian, why do you think he walks straight over to the y25/y26 area to do his strecthes? he lives to annoy people.
it really shows how odd our support is.. boo savage like he just ate a baby.. then when we win 4-1 theres little more than a murmer and polite applause. we've become so bland and sterile, so fed up with other clubs fans telling us how quiet we are

Ashfordroyal
royalexile He's a pantomine dame whose only minor misdemeanour was to roll the ball away when we had the freekick. He showed humour and made a damned fine save last night. I don't admire the guy but felt a hint of admiration last night.

Is this going to be a match by match grumble BTW.

Here Here.

Where?!?

As for you, finerain, I don't know what your problem is. I seem to remember somebody writing on here after the game at Pride Park that Savage (and Dickov) was in the referee's face for every decision.

FiNeRaIn Support your team and stop barracking the opposition players, especially the ones who are model pro's and haven't done anything wrong.

Who are you referring to here?

Anyway, considering Savage was being roundly appreciated by all around me last night we'll probably have to add this to your ever-increasing FAIL collection yeah?

Have people failed to see its just a paste from the heskey thread with the name changed? Couldn't give two hoots about savage, he loves the banter.

Jesus, lighten up.

Exactly - he'd only been on the pitch about 5 seconds before he jogged over to the east stand making gestures as he warmed up. He loves it, and i reckon he'd be miffed if he didn't get any gentle abuse!

FiNeRaIn Once again, cringe worthy abuse for the biggest professional on the park.

Savage didn't even open his mouth all game - yet is targeted for consistent abuse, just like many moons ago.

Reading fans = pathetic.

Support your team and stop barracking the opposition players, especially the ones who are model pro's and haven't done anything wrong.

I already know who is going to respond to this thread - some HNA users starting the chants I see.

No chanters here but FiNeRaIn are you taking the pi$$???

Ive never heard of Robbie Savage being called a model pro in fact ive heard him called a few things but that isnt one of them!!!!! The Daily Mail labelled him as the dirtiest player in Premier League history, based on numbers of yellow cards received. He regularly collects yellow cards, holding the dubious distinction of being awarded the most yellow cards of any Premiership player in the league's history - jointly held with Lee Bowyer

So please FiNeRaIn please dont talk shite without the facts as he is in many peoples opinion an absolute twatus who lets be honest has never been that good and never really achieved all that much now has he?
Crewe
Leicester
Birmingham
Blackburn
Derby
Brighton (Loan) - Because even Derby didnt rate him

Anyone remember Justin Edinburgh tussling with Savage in the League Cup Final? Savage got Edinburgh sent off, that's the kind of footballer he is.

Robbie Savage Reading were by far the better team anyway and [me going in goal] wasn't a turning point in the game really, they could have scored three or four more before that.

Some kind words from the great man himself

He couldn;t have said anything else !

Interview I heard he also said that the sending off was harsh as there were two covering defenders and that it should have been 2-2 as they had a header that should have gone in (can;t remember that - does he mean the offside one ? And did he not notice the half dozen chances we'd had !!)

I agree with the last part.

To be fair it was a boring game in some respects because we were already winning when Savage went in goal so the way we're playing we'd have had to have had a major mess up to lose the game.

Having said that, we won 4-1 and we're a bit safer from relegation than we were before - couldn't people have hung around to give the team a bit more appreciation?
