Maguire Apart from the odd exception, most years up to 2006. Then again in 2008 and 2009 but not in 2010.

We have been shit for most of our existence so let's not rewrite history here.

But when you're shit and you know you are, being just averagely shit isn't really letting you down.

Agree. You're not being let down just because you aren't being successful. You're let down when you should be able to expect much better.

Luton and Plymouth in the title winning season were utterly unforgiveable.

Big Foot Losing away to Wigan last day of the 04/05 season (I think?) to let them go up automatically. Expected us to make their lives a lot more difficult than we did

Considering that day was the catalyst for what followed then I disagree. It affected the players and they reacted in the best way possible, so in my eyes they didn't let us down at all.

To counter your arguement, considering we sat top on Boxing Day after beating Watford 3-0 before going on a horrendus run post Christmas (must be a Reading thing :| ) to not reach the Playoffs was a major dissapointment in itself. Of course as you said, it was a catalyst for what happened the following season and the rest is history.

Yeah but presumably everyone wanted us to be good!

Blackpool away, 2009/10

we were on a great run of form and, as i don't get to go to many games these days, i was expecting at least a good contest from the boys. But as soon as Howard (i think?) got injured after about half an hour, we played like we'd already given up. Shame to moan about such a good period for the club, but i guess i was just unfortunate to see us on a rare off-day.
