Work people impressed by Gorks and (after that early fumble)Feds.
They also thought that they should have made more of their half-chances and that we were more clinical.
It was good to hear "more clinical" about us as probably since the Kitson/Doyle combo we generally haven't been clinical but at £350,000 Alf looks more clinical than £2million Sharp which is nice.
They also felt that their central defenders looked less decisive than ours.
We all agreed that Lambert is some player.

Snowball
Maguire Mullins was slow on the ball, nearly got tackled, and the pressure led to him pushing Kebe right to the touchline. Should've been able to receive and spread play more easily than that.

Still, all worked out well because Jimbo somehow produced a goal ball.

But SURELY, since we are never lucky, that was a clever plan
and a brilliant, perfect pass to the super-fast Malian winger?

No, there is no luck involved in playing an exceptionally fast and skillful right winger who is capable of getting to an over hit slightly wayward pass, keeping it in and producing a world class cross for a Premier League quality striker to head in nicely.

There will be individual elements of luck in games. But 14 wins in 16, 10 conceeded and 32 scored, cannot be attributed to "good luck". Generally, you will get the result you deserve from each individual game, because a couple of lucky incidents in a game, shouldn't be enough to change the result if we are performing properly.

taipeiroyal Where I was stood there was a woman behind me slagging Kebe off the whole game for being lazy....I pointed out to her that he had provided the crosses for two of the goals and that is why we have him in the team. She replied "No, no, no"
What an idiot...luckily her yelling didn't distract from the sheer joy of watching the team bag another three points.

Can I just point out this was not me or any women related to me

Ian I was making the point that Mags in one post says we aren't lucky, then slags
off Mullins for a screw up that leads to a goal

Except you utterly misread my point.

I didn't think Mullins pass was lucky.

You're just warbling garbage now.

Nobody said it was lucky. He intended to pass to Kebe and he did. There is no point to make and, as usual, you haven't made one.

Are you dragging yourself down to this Mags?

It was great galloping skillz from Kebe to actually control in, get and inch perfect cross in behind the defence and for the bullet header.

Where does that say he didn't intend to pass to Kebe?

If you're going to make a point Snowers make sure it's relevant to the arguement you're having and with what you're quoting.

I got it all wrong. Maguire actually said Mullins was superb
and picked out a totally deliberate, immaculate pass to Kebe

He didn't say that either.

For someone who proports to deal in facts sometimes you do type a load of factually incorrect rubbish.

Anyway, why am I getting involved again? It's clear you're never going to change. I just wish you'd stick to your stats thread (which I thoroughly enjoy BTW) and give us all a break.

Well quite. He's flailing around like a drunk in a swimming pool, just ignore him.

To be honest, I only count the goals we're scored if they're 'right out of the top drawer'. On this basis, I am not very happy with how the season's gone...

It's called sarcasm, cheese

Maguire wants on the one hand to say we have had no luck
while at the same time saying Mullins was not very good
and almost screwed up the pass to Kebe but got lucky
