we're not getting close enough to the Newcastle goal to get free kicks etc which will get us attempts on goal.

Lets be honest the team has done well to be so close to safety in January, but with QPR adding Remy we now need to Add some real quality, no offence to Hope Crawley Akpan.

Royalupnorth I must be watching a different game.

I'm seeing good passing, less giving the ball away, and some posession in their half.

The goal apart, we don't look like an away team, at the bottom of the table. I don't think the game is over yet.

+1 million.

This is how we play. We do get 'dominated' if you can call this domination. Good counter attacking so far, and awful refereeing decisions. Cabaye with a lovely bit of quality seperates two different sides, playing different football.

ManchesterRoyals Can someone point Anton or Bm to the fact that QPR are winning and there signing has scored a quality signing not one done on the cheap

Blah blah blah, you're like a broken record. It's not your money to piss away so stump up £10M or pipe down.

Royal91 oxf*rd it get Apkan on he can be any worse than McAnuff in the middle!

Agree why buy him if hes not ready?

You two should just go and bum each other in a bed of negativity and bullshit.

I can assure you the only thing I am negative about week in week out, is the continuous inclusion of L,wood and McAnuff. I would argue that 90% of this forum agree with myself and Manchesteroyal on that point.

If you can honestly say that was a positive half of football then you are lying.

McAnuff has been terrible, sub him off now. Leigertwood has surprisingly been decent. Marking has been v. poor, consistently allowing cisse and others to get free chances, would be 3 or 4 down if not for some top saves or more clinical finishing.

I make that ONE off target attempt for Reading in the entire half - utterly unacceptable at any league level

Fail completely to understand how on earth McDermott thinks McAnuff in midfield is a smart move

The referee is a complete and utter joke but even without his efforts Cabaye and Marveau are destroying us single handedly

*yawn*

We averaged about 6 chances a game last season I reckon, yet we won the league.

It's the quality of the chances not the quantity. The chances we've created have been good chances. And we would have a goal if the linesman could keep up with play.

We have played ok. Defended awfully and need to keep the ball better but we do look like we can hurt them if we get forward.

To those who think its big and clever to take a conservative spend-nothing-in-the-prem approach, who did QPR buy and how has he done so far please?

Thanks in advance.

Za Vas We're being totally overrun in the middle of the park, need to change something in there.

As we have been all season. We have nothing to throw in. Could change it to 4-4-2 BUT risky. Still only 1-0 give it 20 mins then maybe try.

Agreed its not been great in there, but this is just not working at all. Legs is sat too deep as per, Guthrie hasn't shown up and Jobi, well Jobi just isn't a centre mid. We need Jem back in there for the start of the second half, wouldn't mind seeing Hope have a run out as well.

On the plus side, we do look dangerous on the break, McCleary especially having a good game.

We made decent summer signings. Gunters transfer was the type you'd see with clubs like Norwich and Saints, a type of transfer that would work out, it hasn't worked out here but he has time. McCleary showed that he was (almost) better than championship quality. Pog IS quality. Guthrie IS quality. Shorey is pretty decent. Mariappa is decent. Carrico is a bargain, Kelly is decent and Akpan has potential.

EDIT: I see your guys point though, I expected Messi.

Cannot argue with the facts. We concede a lot and create little and the result at this level will be relegation and comfortably so.

We still have a chance if we can keep it to 1 nil.

Hope that more signings are following soon. Even if it is 3 points you can clearly see that we are way short of the quality to stay up. Also teams around us are doing better and strengthening.

Royal Ginger what a gimp you are.....whats the point in bringing in a load of players that are not going to make a difference......QPR have spent money on one decent signing and are reaping the rewards already.......if Anton doesn't have money to spend then he should not be acting like billy big b*llocks and buying a premier league club.
