Snowflake Royal Can anyone explain why we blew our limited budget on Dann, yet another defender who can't get above walking pace when we already had three CBs who run like they're in treacle?

That must be what the 6th time we've conceded 4 or more in a game and the 12th we've conceded 3 or more. Shocking

According to Ince he wasn't well and several of the squad has Covid. Swift and Holmes.

You don’t have to isolate now if you have covid so why did they miss it? We’re they actually that ill or does football have different rules regarding isolation etc.

You can still feel like shit

Yeah no of course, just thought with a lesser variant and exceedingly fit (LOL) young individuals, they’d probably be relatively asymptotic.

Obviously it’s not always the case, just wondering you know.

Even if they are, that doesn’t mean the ones they'd have infected necessarily would be.

And of course, vaccination rate in the Championship is about 50%

I detest Kia and what he has done/is doing to our club. However, we were only allowed to sign free agents and Dann really hasn't done that badly for us.

I’m sick & tired of what’s going on at our club. I’m fed up of Dai’s inept decision making, with no accountability whatsoever.

Do we have any decent centre backs left at the club? Morrison is McShane mk.2 with his decline, Dann looks past it, Holmes is average. McIntyre is the only one I think it up to the standard.

We’ve become a club full of mercenaries like Drinkwater & Ince, who know that it doesn’t really matter how they perform.

It’s rancid…really is

Ascotexgunner If we take the extra 6 point deduction now (not that we are)....would that mean we are then released from the restrictions next season and give us more money to spend on a reliable manager (a Warnock/Monk type) as well as tie some of the players we want to keep down for next season as so many are out of contract?

No, having points deduced is not carte blanche to break the rules. Quite the opposite, in fact.

You also don't necessarily just get your suspended sentence if you break the rules again, you may get it and a new penalty on top.

Just watched the highlights on Quest. Looked dreadful.

A short summary is:

- old, slow defenders
- ineffective, lazy midfielders
- youngsters out of their depth

I can only assume we had serious issues from EFL on manager wages, as Ince clearly the cheap option.

Barker sounded like he wanted to actually play when he came on…pacy? forced a save and corner.

I agree, it’s not tactics, it’s that players are either not good enough/past it (defence) or don’t give a shit as they’re leaving (midfield). Only have 2 quality forwards, one who has been out injured for a very long time. The number of reports which say Reading have quality is just wrong, we don’t, and we have no desire either. Might just escape relegation, but wouldn’t bank on it.

So the injury crisis earlier in the season wasn`t the actual reason we were shit, if anything we`ve got worse now we have a near full strength squad to pick from.

Says something when Yiadom and Laurent have been our best centre back pairing this season.

Maybe we should revert to playing three at the back with those two being part of the back three. We have too many hopelessly slow centre backs.
Then play Rinomhota and TDB in front of them. We really must drop Drinkwater. He is truly dereadful.

It we had another right back/wing back option it’d be worth considering. Maybe it is anyway
