To be fair all Reading players were "defenders" on Monday night.

aaronrfc Reading defender Dave Kitson hails Arsenal as "the best team on the planet" after their 3-1 victory at the Madejski Stadium. (Daily Telegraph)

If you didn't know otherwise, from Monday's game that's probably a fair observation to make.

The trouble is, is that that sentence was written by a football journalist who should know better.

Surely the task of harping on about the deficiencies (real or otherwise) of RFC is down to anyone who has a HNA login and thinks that they are the next Hansen/Lawrenson and/or have had success on Championship Manager.

From the bbc report on match with middlesbrough

Will Boro apparently capable of creating little of their own, Reading almost gifted them an equaliser anyway. A cross from the right wing should have been routine for Joseph Sonko to deal with.

I've seen reports that Kitson was fouled for the penalty, while others claim it was Doyle. Well they are dead ringers for Gunnarsson....

Alex McLeish on BBC after the Birmigham match said that we've got players that have been in the Premier League for three seasons now (though if I misheard I'm xenophobically blaming his accent). Does that mean we are actually suffering from third season syndrome?

Apparently Boris gashed his knee against Sunderland and is a doubt for West Ham

Football First analyser thought that Berbatov created one goal by getting space from backing into Samba.

That's not even close.

LOL, I didn't spot that one, but did notice the summariser heaping praise onto Stephen Hunt for the delivery of the corner which Kitson headed in.....

Indeed when Hunt was standing in the penalty box at the time the corner was taken...now I know Hunt is tireless and has bags of energy but he's not that energetic.

I wonder who compiled that Annual? I understand it has left our club captain out so it can hardly be taken as gospel.

If you look at the player profiles...Graeme Murty is absent from the player profiles(in my sons copy anyway). How can the club captain be completely missed out???????????
