Coppell bleating on again about Man U not having as many away games after internationals and then says it's not an excuse! If so, why go on about it?!

Maybe we will cock up a home game after an international break, against a team with some traveling internationals, and finally kill off this ridiculous excuse.

Royal Lady
Archie's penalty 3 days off HNA for me then.

My predicitions; Schards beaming and shaking out more negativity, Royalee back on here glowing.

Ugh, ugh, ugh.
As I've already said on another thread - Schards isn't happy at all and he's certainly not beaming. Just because he doesn't think we'll do well this season doesn't mean he doesn't want us to. but you know that already really.

Sorry RL that was uncalled for. Was just disappointed about the result which of course Schards will be as well.

Someone said something on the radio about our away kit and it being jinxed.
We haven't won an away game in the orange kit BUT have won away to Wolves in our Home Strip.
Our next away match at Burnley will see us in Blue&White, maybe a win, i hope. Who thinks that the colour of the kit, has something to do with the way we play? I know it sounds silly, but it is a good point, made by someone who texted BBCRB.

Enjoyable if only because of its varying levels of ineptness.

My favourite moment was Parkin mistiming a shoulder-barge and falling over, while Rosenior then just rolled the ball out of play.

Our central midfield was absent throughout and, for great chunks, our wing play made up for it. However, things were going to break, balls were going to get through and it was unforced errors that did for us. Stupid, simple mistakes that should not be made.

Hit the post three or four times and I thought we'd equalise.

Bums.

Nevermind, It's only one game after a good (if fairly short) run. You can't win 'em all. The team is still evolving and I don't care what sort of a run Preston have been on in the last few games. They're still a decent team and a tough nut to crack at their place.

I wish people would stop getting so carried away with single results.

Absolutely right but by the same token weren't you all for the inclusion of Simon Church on the back of 1 or 2 games for Wales?! :|

Reading back at home Tuesday, job done.

Why the Wolves away win was the blip of course - masked very well by the fact that their key players were either already out or injured early in the game.

Good going forward, crap when midfields actually run at us (away games where the emphasis is on them) as we have nobody in the middle who can dominate - been saying it for ages and it still rings true.

What a waste, what a waste. Our home form is superb but we're not gonna go up if we keep throwing points away like that, that was 3 there for the taking or at the very least 1.

Hahnemann has been superb for the last 2 years, excellent in the Premiership (our player of the year last year by a MILE) so it's harsh to say he should be dropped based on one shit game. Probably just one of those days but we must grab wins when they are there for the taking otherwise another season of Championship football beckons.

Yep.

Here's a little stat for some of you - out of the five games Matejovsky and Bikey started together last season, we won three of them. Out of those other two games, one was Liverpool away, the other was Blackburn at home where we drew after Matejovsky was sent off. Grit and guile in midfield at the same time - Coppell might want to try that one sometime instead of persisting with shit like Harper and Gunnarsson, if he had last season then we'd have stayed up. Go on Steve, give it a go, we may even beat a full strength side away from home - Karacan and Matejovsky with Bikey at the back partnered by Pearce should do the trick. No chance of that though.

When you're reduced to setting up lines for Royalee you know it's time to take a long hard look at yourself.

What are you talking about? Very few posters said he should be included in the side...certainly not in League games. The Cup ties are a different matter and it would make senseeeee to play him and other youngsters to give them first team experience without it costing League points. Nothing wrong about that at all.

Yep, Preston was definitely the blip. :|

Now even below Cardiff and just 1 point above Burnley.
