Top Flight Tommy Smith is an improvement on Hunt anyway so not to worry.

He's also 2 years older.

God forbid we sign a 29 year old...

PASS HIM HIS WALKIN' STICK!!

Can I just say that I've been out of touch with football for a couple of days and I'm disappointed to come back and discover tha SHunt is still here.

 I want S Hunt and Doyle to go so we then have funds for new signings.
I don't actually want Doyle to go, but it's almost inevitable and so the sooner they're both out, the better chance we have of recruiting suitable replacements.

Don't think the car park resurfacing has been finished yet.

why is this good for nothing getting so much web space? he doesnt want to be at the club and hasnt for the best part of two years. our club doesnt need players like him or Shorey, who regardless of talent think theyre too big to be at our small time outfit!
i say cash in and watch him get found out just like we have with Nicky. ill even pack the boys bag!

30? are you sure? it seemed a lot less? i seem to recall he made the first team for a few months at the begining of the season then was replaced as he kept getting caught out?.. any way.. the main point was if a player isnt bothered playing for the Royals any more then he should be got rid of without loyalty bonus. of which im sure SHunt will get sadly.

You can't get rid of someone who is still in contract unless another club comes in for him. And there's been a deafening silence for SHunt so far.

So a player has never left a club on a free transfer then mid contract?

theres always a way out of contracts. surely his lack of playing for the last year can count as breach of contract?

Shorey made 31 for Villa last season to be exact (link below). He was frozen out for most of the season after some dismal errors early on... but started the last 7 league games in a row.... but then threw a strop after being substituted, so all may still not be right between him and O'Neil.

How can you be frozen out for most of a 38 match season and still make 31 appearances?

In the world of Hob Nob, any description to describe any scenario goes.

FWIW, my preference in this instance is "not in favour" as opposed to "frozen out".

Villa played a hell of a lot more than 38 games this season

Shorey started 19 league games for Villa, which isnt bad

You're right. Didn't realise they'd played so many in europe. I make it 55 games. One fewer than Burnley isn't it?

You completely forgot about the 3 cup competitions and thought they only played in the league last season?

Thats quite an oversight, even for you
