My view was that at least Doyle was giving it 100% - blips in form can happen at any time obviously.

My view with SHunt was that at times I felt he wasn't giving it 100%, and as a fan I think thats unforgiveable. When he signed his new contract, I thought "great - he will give everything he can now, because if we go up, he plays in the Prem, and if he plays well, he will get a transfer". Of course i didn't realise that even playing poorly and with no genuine hunger he was still going to get a transfer back to the Prem.

Hey ho.

I know slightly off topic, but I think Doyle is given too easy a ride.

No one moans that after he received his new deal he scored 1 goal.

Doyles and Hunts performances were very similar after they both received new deals. I personally believe S Hunt tried harder than Doyle post contract but because he was a player of limited ability when he had other things to worry about (trying to secure a move), his performances dropped dramatically.

Everyone on here appreciated what Doyle did for the club but for a senior player he didn't take enough responsibility (he would run the channels and not take shots on). 2nd prem season 4 goals (I think) and didn't score consistently last season, he scored in bursts.

I think Doyle was carrying an injury, u cud see in his body language how hard he was trying. Hunt got a brilliant assist last night, add this to two goals already for hull, after zero preseason too, and its clear he genuinely wasn't bothered last year.

It's just typical Hunt. New challenge, at a new level, so he goes out hard and fast to prove himself. By Xmas, he'll think he's done that, get cocky and his form will go rapidly down hill.

Pointless thread really considering such an importantant meeting, but so little news coming from it. Surely there must be more news other than what we expected to hear (or allowed to). I know much is very secret squirrel considering certain news alerting other clubs, however bearing in mind previous STAR meeting write ups, which are generally very informative, this is quite a poor show.

Oh well shoot me down if you must, gun ready loaded by me for you

P.S Yes I know join STAR if you're really that bothered etc........

I'm sure there will be a slightly more detailed write up by STAR on their website eventually. HNA is not really the place to put it first now, is it... In fact I'm pretty sure someone said it would be up, but probably not until after Tuesday...

RG30 If there was a "no media ban" then why were the club's head of communications and his assistant present?

Probably in case they needed to 'clarify' anything said by the likes of Rodgers and Hammond. 'What I think Brendan means is..........'

One of the promises BR made was to always be open and honest.

Sixteen hours after the transfer window has closed we have yet to have confirmation from the club about Rosenior and Harper leaving.

...and this is BR's fault? Nonsense! Look where blabbing about Smith got him.
