It's hard to over-state how good the last 8-9 days have been

This table is dreamland. To have gained 4 points and 7 goals GD on
Southampton is just two games is almost miraculous, and to do the damage
we did to West Ham (they showed their capability at Barnsley is also
stunning.

01 41 +34 79 Southampton
02 41 +26 79 Reading
03 41 +25 75 West Ham
04 41 +25 69 Birmingham
05 41 +15 66 Blackpool
06 41 +09 64 Cardiff
07 41 +07 63 Brighton

Interesting how the GD rule has finally come into line...

I have to say, though, how easily this table can still change.

We have two massive games and this next six days don't just
define our season but they could define a decade or two.

Of course, on strict form, IF we dropped into the POs, we would be
favourites, but frankly I would hate it. Cardiff have the Indian Sign on us,
Blackpool are fully capable of beating ny side in this league, and I think
Birmingham might well have won this league had they not been in Europe

16 41 -01 54 Crystal Palace
20 40 -15 43 Nottm Forest

01 41 +34 79 Southampton
02 41 +26 79 Reading
03 41 +25 75 West Ham
04 41 +25 69 Birmingham
05 41 +15 66 Blackpool
06 41 +09 64 Cardiff
07 41 +07 63 Brighton

Theoretically our chances have been MASSIVELY changed now. I don't mean simply the obvious that Saints dropped two points at a crucial time. What I mean is, previously we had a mountain to climb, 2 goals of GD and 5 points etc. Now, provided we don't lose at Southampton (previously we had to win), all we have to do is get a draw against them losing a game.

Before we had "a chance" of catching Saints (by winning there)
and were waiting for West Ham to drop points.

As I see it now, we have two almost equal chances and as a betting
man I would say our odds should have halved

It's POSSIBLE for us to win this league without winning at Southampton, but very difficult

Yet odds to win the league are 6/5, but the one game is 11/5 for RFC to win.

So bookmakers think we will drop 7 points of the last 15, despite the fact that we've only dropped 5 of the last 42? Obviously still under the radar.

They've probably noticed who we are playing, and adjusted accordingly.

Well if U think they are wrong, lump on

5 Gamages, we'll probably WW or WD the two at home = 4 or 6, and then
we still have to get 2 points away at Brum, Brighton, Saints IF we win both home games just to get to 87

So win both home games AND need a win at one of those three just to scrape 88

Bookies are probably right

I vaguely remember you saying that 85 will be enough for auto. Do you still go with this? - this question is borne out of my nerves being shot to oxf*rd, and not to throw criticism!

Well, seeing as the bookies don't expect West Ham to get more than 84...

Although WHU are 75 with 15 points left to play for so THEORETICALLY can still get 90...

Let's hope they fail to beat Brum today

Here is a VERY surprising statistic (Shocked me!)

If someone else wants to check this I'd appreciate it.

I'm amazed by this stat and find it hard to believe

Church has started 18 games. His last start was 21-Jan-12

Our ppg from the start of the season to 21-Jan was 1.56 ppg
but our ppg with Church starting was a lot higher, and without, a lot lower

27 12-6-9 34-27 +7 GD 42 1.56 Overall

P18 W10 D5 L3 35 Points 1.94 ppg - Church Starting

P09 W02 D1 L6 07 Points 0.78 ppg - Church not Starting

Here are the games

Starting 10-5-3

00 (90) Won 2-0 Scored Doncaster
00 (67) Won 3-2 Bristol (Losing 2-0 when he went off)
00 (75) Won 1-0 Birmingham
00 (71) Won 3-2 Ipswich
00 (61) Won 3-2 Peterboro (Scored)
00 (90) Won 1-0 Leeds (Scored)
00 (88) Won 3-0 Brighton
00 (90) Won 1-0 Ipswich
00 (83) Won 2-1 Ipswich (1-1 when came off)
00 (81) Won 1-0 (99th minute goal)

00 (90) Drew 1-1 Coventry Scored
00 (82) Drew 0-0 Middlesboro
00 (79) Drew 2-2 Derby
00 (81) Drew 1-1 Saints
00 (71) Drew 0-0 Palace

00 (70) Lost 1-0 Blackpool (Scored good goal, disallowed)
00 (61) Lost 3-1 Cardiff

But don't we ignore the first six games?

And seeing as he didn't start the first six games that affects the stats greatly, surely.
