Colin Cheeselog and sticking his figure up to fans.

I had no problem with him giving us the finger - we were right on his back after about 15 idiotic hoofballs in succession. It was a heat of the moment thing.

Hoop Blah Great performance from all of the team, and especially Mills.

Just goes to show the potential in some of the lads, but true quality is doing that week-in week-out.

I still don't think think he should really be quite so critical of a very placid bunch of fans as ours, and I still don't warm to the bloke, but that was his best performance since Leicester away were he was again a rock, albeit not in such a complete defensive performance from the team.

Playing Everton away really suited us. The onus was on Everton to take the game to us. But we organised so well at the back, didn't give them any opportunity to play and then counter-attacked them superbly well.

In the championship, especially at home, those tactics aren't suitable.

When we're at home, we're in Everton's position and the onus is on us to take the game to the opposition. And similar to Everton last night, when a team comes and is well organised, we also often lack the craft to break them down.

We need a return to the Coppell days where we have overlapping full backs who maraude down the line and help the wide boys beat the full backs and get balls into the box. We need to come out all guns blazing in that first half hour and put the game to bed. How often under Coppell was a game done and dusted just 20 minutes in. We were about 5-0 up against Sheffield Wednesday in the first half hour in the Coppell days.

If we can sign Bertrand and Leirgertwood, we'd probably have enough to at least get in the top 4.

Last night revealed the quality that we have and showed that we are well suited to the Premier League. The problem is getting there. We just need to be more over powering when we're at home and really destroy teams hard and fast in those first 20 minutes at the Mad Stad Coppell style.

A one off performance against a lethargic Everton doesn't mean we're more cut out for the Premiership I'm afraid.

It means we can raise our game for a big one off match, but don't forget for all the good organisation and excellent defending we didn't really create much to threaten them. If you put that side in the Premiership it would only be making up the numbers (which is no slur on the current team, just the reality that a mid-table Championship side would need some strengthening to compete in the league above).

Not doubting that we're not ready for the Prem, but didn't threaten them? Which game were you watching? I thought we looked pretty dangerous going forward personally. Kebe should have scored with the one-on-one and both Tabb and Harte came close.

Maguire I wouldn't be surprised if, bereft of a login, this is the only way Millsy can fish out a 12 pager on The Team board.

BOSH :!:

I don't think we created many clear cut chances to be honest. Kebe should have put us 2-0, and to be fair, once we'd already gone 1-0 up we weren't exactly going to be going at them either, so maybe I was being a little harsh as the situation of the game dictates so much of what we (should) do.

brendywendy lol at chesting it down and volleying it in, from the middle of a crowded penalty box, in the FA cup away at everton being simple.

and i thought he came across brilliantly " as a person" after the game last night tbf

"lol at" your exaggeration.

Additional, did you really laugh out loud? Did you have to explain to your colleagues what you were laughing at?

I just searched Colin Cheeselog's posts since January. He has serious issues.

He doesn't like people calling players by their nicknames (Elwood etc). "Have you asked them whether they like being called this?" "Is this another nickname for someone you've never met" etc.

Manset was spelled wrong, without Matty's (sic) permission  .

Plus posts about "crying inside because that cnut Mills is the captain of my club".

You're right, they are serious issues. I'm off to get some counselling...

Enjoy searching my old posts. What a fulfilling life.

Terminal Boardom Funny though that Mills turns it on when the TV cameras are there. Liverpool last season, Leicester and Everton this. What the team have done is shown what they are capable of. It is up to them to replicate that sort of performance week in week out.

which is what the cup win did for them last year- show them that theyre good enough to beat anyone.
hopefully it will do the same again this season.

This is what I'm hoping too. I wonder if this will put us on a run?
