It is just past 4:00 AM here...just got back from Boston. Went to meet a mate of mine, who is from over there but happens to be here on business, and the person who is most responsible for me being a supporter of this great club...and btw he's totally bumming he can't be there right now tossing back pints at the Purple Turtle with you. There were 3 of us planning on meeting up with him on April 21st for drinks to say "hi" while he was here. It had been planned for 4 months and it just happened to be the night that Reading clinched the title. So toasts were raised and I belted out a few hearty "C'MON URZZZZZZZZ" in the bar. The Bostonites didn't know what to make of it but who cares about them.

And we just wanted to make sure you knew we were both there with you in spirit...

Maybe they should stick it on display on a separate vehicle leading the parade and then officially present it at the Mad Stad?

I have to say I think that is a very good idea.

An alternative is to hand it over at the start of the parade, with a formal presentation at the stadium. Even that has problems, because the Football League's presentation podium doesn't really lend itself to working in the round. Which is why a presentation in front of just one end in Birmingham would have worked so well.

Looking at the last parade, there would have been 80,000 people who saw the bus go by but didn't get to the stadium. Odds are it will be similar this time, and those people deserve to see the silverware.

Walkabout Was amazing. I did get covered in beer and don't remember how I got home.

Missed out on celebrating in 2006 so this was special.
Total takeover of the place, chants drowning out any music from the dj. Hen night party looked pretty bemused - they left sharpish.
