Man FridayRoyalinBracknell Personally I'd like to see someone with a long-standing connection to the club, either Brian McDermott or Eamon Dolan.
I think McDermott would certainly keep us up and his pragmatic style would suit our current situation my view. I'd certainly back him to re-establish us as a competitive Championship team relatively quickly.
I think Dolan would be a poppose choice and would help to bring through some of the younger plays. I'd be slightly thoughif confidence has been completely destroyed as to whether this would be the right approach though or if it might risk us ending up in a relegation battle.
Translation please...

Zana Badawi Oh what a mess.
We cant get Howe now because there's no way he's leaving Bournemouth until he's taken them up, and then he's a premiership manager.
We cant approach the level of manager (eg Di Matteo) we were approaching when McDermott was sacked, because our status as a club is dropping game by game.
We cant get McDermott back because he'd never meet the level of our expectations of him.
We'd struggle to attract the type of out of work manager who would normally take a punt on us, because of our intentions in the January Window and for contracts that end this year.
Which leaves us with a lower league manager for whom we would be the biggest club they've managed, or an internal promotion.
I don't want Dolan because he's too good at what he does already, and Im not sure he wants the job - which leaves Parkinson.
And if you think that's underwhelming (and I do) then remember we wouldn't be such beggars in the market a year ago; or, of course, if we didn't have Adkins in the first place.
What's Zola up to nowadays?

P!ssed Off Given that Dolan met with Leeds when they tried to bring him in as manager in July, I think it would be wrong to assume he's not interested in management.

Royal LadyLUX Wanting the manager out, sack the Board type stuff is ( in most cases) standard football-mong behaviour.
Oh - did you want to keep Burns and Bullivant then?

MmmMonsterMunch At this point, I just want anyone but Adkins.
It's just not possible for anyone to do worse IMO.
