blueroyalsandrew1957URZZZZZ Reports suggest that Reading have agreed to pay Watford £10m should they gain promotion this season.
The fee is all part of the deal they have struck to bring striker Matej Vydra to Madejski Stadium.
Royals have initially paid £2.5m up front to land the frontman on loan for the season and they will also cover his wages.
But should they secure promotion to the Premier League, the Czech international will join on a permanent basis for £10m.
If we go up that (10M buy clause) will be good business for both clubs. Watford make a good profit and we have a good striker.
£10m is peanuts for a player of his calibre "in today's market".
Just because a couple of club bid monumentally excessive funds for a couple of average strikers doesn't make it a market. There are still quality players around for a fraction of this sum, just takes a smart manager/scouting system to get them.
Can you all listen to yourselves? 10m for Vydra? He isn't worth half that, the price is large because Watford were cocks and just signed him for big money this summer.
Words fail me. I swear some on here think the more we spend on a player, the better they become.
