Ojc we beat you convincingly 2-0, should have been more.

Can't argue with that.

We appear to be like Ipswich were last season. Good at home, crap away.

Dickie Davies
Ojc Shite? Hahhahahaha, yes that's right mate absolute shite, so shite that we beat you convincingly 2-0, should have been more.

If you think they have always been shite, let me point out a few facts for you ignorant Reading plastic fans.

1 FA Cup
1 Uefa Cup
1 League Title

2 x most succesful England managers

Recent Uefa Cup run, along with a 1-0 home with against Inter Milan

Please list Reading's achievments.

Fair cop really.

FWIW Owen Garvan looked IMO as good a midfielder that have seen in this division. How old is he?

No it isn't a fair cop. The league is all about today, not some meaningless history lesson. The fact that Accrington Stanley have a better cup record than us over the last 130 years doesn't make them a great team. Ipswich is a has been club, it may rise again but there is no reason to suspect that it will yet.

Nice to see a fair few of you have your heads screwed on.

Anyway, Garvan is our most intelligent player on the field, he picks out passes and pops up with the odd goal now and again, he makes football simple and that's what you need in this division. He is 20 years old and a product of our highly succesful academy.

Away from home he tends to be a luxury we can't afford and probably won't play that much with Norris and Shumi having more grit to their game and will take over in the centre from Garvan and Miller.

Punching above our weight, as opposed to (Suffolk) punching below it?

Ok it is all about the league today, but now that the big 4 firmly have their grasp on just about every cup to be won in this country and in Europe don't you think the fact that Ipswich won it and is 1 of only a very small amount of English sides to have won a European trophy something of a massive achievment that should be shouted about?

I'm realistic, we won't ever win a Premiership title, but to have won a Division 1 title in the past gives me immense satisfaction along with beating Arsenal in the 78 FA Cup Final along with beating AZ Alkmar in 81 to secure the UEFA Cup.

Recent years haven't been kind to us, with adminstration and having to sell just about every player with promise, but now we have Marcus Evans backing us the world is our oyster as to how far we go, UEFA Cup run again? Quite possibly in the next 5 years.

Exciting times indeed.

Isn't that a good thing? I bet in hindsight that Coppell wishes he did secure that last Uefa Cup spot 2 season ago, that way you could have at least said "we have played in that competion"

Yeah, I'm just messing. I had a girlfriend who was an Ipswich fan so I saw them a few times during the Robson era, and I'll always have a soft spot for the team. Can't really understand why we fans of small-time provincial teams have to snipe at each other so much. The only difference between us is an accident of birth. In a parallel universe, you're the "plastic" and we're the ex-UEFA cup winners.
