There is no rush on the part of the buyers to buy.

In fact, from their point of view it's better to wait until the end of the season as they will best know what they are buying.

All the desperation to finalise the deal in the transfer window is from the fans and possibly from TSI and SJM

I don't expect anything to be finalised until the last month of the season, and then only if we are nailed on certainty as a Championship club.

All the cards are with the purchasers, and they know it.

They then run the risk of having to pay significantly more for the shares then though.

Also, doesn't Anton have until June to buy SJM's shares before SJM can take the 51% back for a pittance? If that is true then Anton wont want to leave it until the end of the season.

No, they would probably not change from what they are now. I would assume we are being touted as a "Premiership Level Club". If we fail to get in the playoffs then I would only expect the price to drop further as desperation sets in.

Where does the June deadline for AZ come from though? The last one proved to be bollocks

It's appeared on here a couple of times, one of many rumours.

That's why I call BS on it. No lawyer in their right mind would allow a client to sign a contract for millions that would allow that to happen.

AZ owns 51% end of. He can sell it for whatever price he chooses (in reality, gets offered).

It's his property.

Anyone else notice the ad boards around the ground showing Savoy Group ads?

Be nice if this guy was linked to the buyout.

Prince Alwaleed is worth £11.5bn according to Forbes and is one of the world’s wealthiest hotel investors with a portfolio which also includes New York’s Plaza and the George V in Paris.

Perhaps he wants the Millennium too

Was in talks with Swindon Town last year, but nothing seems to have happened.

Son wants an active roll which could mean AZ escape back to Russia

"Al Waleed is currently involved in an ongoing dialogue with the directors of Swindon Town Football Club, England. Al Waleed was introduced to the football club by former UN Diplomat, Sir William Patey, who has been handed the task of selling the football club on behalf of major shareholder and Betfair founder, Andrew Black. Al Waleed's son is said to be very keen on English football and it is thought should the due dilligence be completed, he will have an active role in running the club."

Sorry if a Dodd

Yeah, just noticed he slagged off the FA for Anelka's salute ban too so that could have hindered the due diligence.

Think I might be getting carried away now.

Apparently an 'exclusive' in today's chronicle. Anyone know what it is?
