Charles Watts has confirmed a bid is in for Hobbs! Clearly some money is there. That doesn't mean you get what you want though, does it!

You can bid for players without having the money or intent to actually buy them!! Which I believe to be the case here!! They could have bid in the hope of having takeover finalised in order for funds to be made available.

Bit like buying a house and sorting your finances after offer being agreed except you have made it public to thousands of fans

Someone speculating it might be Green Park based Huawei.

So, chants of Huawei, Huawei... then.

Why on earth would a Chinese telecom company want to buy us out? Sponsor us maybe . . . . .

Watts tweeting there is interest from a third group but not thought to be Chinese.

I never realised we were so popular and such a good investment. Having said that, we don't know yet what AZ got out of it.

@charles_watts 16m
Loads of takeover questions. From what I understand, a new group have expressed an interest, nothing to do with China though. #ReadingFC

However shambolic this saga may seem, it is nothing in comparison to what's happening to Brian at Leeds right now

On the verge of being taken over by an Italian crook who will apparently get rid of Bri and replace him with the guy mentioned in this article

No, you don't understand. Racism is fine on Hob Nob. If you are against it, that makes you a homosexual or paradoxically, only against it to get girls.

There's a reminder of how far we've come. I remember Festa coming to Elm Park with Boro and thinking what a big name he was... I think they may have had Gazza and Merson in their team at the time as well?
