There must be protests outside the Chinese embassy every week about Hong Kong/Tibet/Uighurs/Taiwan. A rotten government, and Dai would not be a billionaire without being one of their rotten cronies.

The idea that a protest about Dai may cut through has at least brought me something to laugh about in a bleak situation.

Next protest needs to be outside of Chinese embassy they can influence Dai and would not be happy at him embarrassing them

They might put pressure on him to get rid quickly/cut his losses which might mean dissolving the club.

I think the non-payment of taxes is the key thing here, that isn't something that looks good for Chinese investment in UK companies if it's seen to be the Chinese way of doing things, I mean what's to say he won't also try to avoid tax payments in China?

He is already avoiding tax there. It's how he made his money out of underground shopping malls.
