We didn't invest enough? Great. Football manager paid millions finally comes to the same conclusion as the fans did three months ago.

So pleased the penny has dropped now, while we are bottom of the table, a third into the season having let all the good players sign for other clubs in the summer.

Bravo.

And so far what he has spent it on has been less than what we had before.

Lets hope things start to pick up, starting with tonight.

I think the point E-Po was making was that McDermott had previously been saying he we'd signed everyone he wanted and that he was happy with our business. Now he's saying we didn't invest enough. That's a bit of a difference in his stated opinion and one that's a bit behind the fans in terms of when he's reached the conclusion.

Personally I still don't think our transfer dealing was that bad in the summer when you consider any of the players individually.

Feel dreadfully sorry for Brian, awesome job, and any outsider would think its awefully harsh to sack him and deserves a chance.

Now the world get see what we all mean, thanks Brian and good night, im predicting a sacking tomorrow at 13.48pm.

This sums it up for me. Piss poor management from the very top right down through to the manager & coaches.

TBH I thought I saw the faintest glimmer of a clue coming from McDermott after HT. Maybe I just had very low expectations.

To those who think McDermott is the best person to bring us back:

How the hell can you keep watching this hoofball for another season?

I am struggling to find a way to describe that, everything has gone, Arsenal could and should have scored ten. Saturday at the Etihad could get really, really ugly. Poor old Brian he has seen his stock go from one of football's up and coming managers to being not worth the suit on his back. It is tragic, but it is there for all to see that he has completely lost the spirit that propelled us to promotion; he needs to move on and try to re-build his dignity, it just is getting too embarrassing to witness.

I have gone from RTG to fully fledged STG

Very sad but time for both parties to part ways now.

That could easily have been a PL record score tomight, painful to watch, we really need some fresh blood inside this club now.

A Portsmouth fan on TalkSport just spoke more sense than the majority of posters on this thread put together. He gets it.
