Snowball
winchester_royal You want to see our defence changed after conceding 2 in the last 3 games which we have picked up 5 points from?

Each to their own

We are quite clearly heading in the right direction. Getting tighter. And IMO Gunter is far better for the team than Cummings (who I like)

For once Snowball I'm in complete agreement.

Yes I'd like to see Shorey, Mariappa, Morrison, Cummings to be exact.

Let's face it.

Anyone who steps into the right back position will be frowned upon for not being Murty.

Was he a right-back, then?

We named our Labrador Murty (and the other one is Sonko)

Murty has terrible joint problems and can barely run.

The dog is not much better

CayeneMatt Gunter was simply shocking 1st half. Sitting lower west toward the north stand, you get a prime view of how uncomfortable he is on the ball. My 10 yr old could play better positionally.

RB and LB is a problem IMO with Shorey looking far from good either. Except for the free kick ...

To be honest, talking negative about Shorey when he has probably been our most consistant peformer this season just indicates how poor your opinions are

'Greed. Laughable stuff.

I must sit very close to you Matt, but it does feel like we were watching very different games.

Yeh. How he can slate Shorey is beyond me

Yeh but his good bit of right wing play, lead up to us winning a penalty

winchester_royal Can you please point out 5 things he did wrong today before you go calling him 'utterly rubbish'..

15+ times Jagielka pinged the ball to Fellani on his side & not once did he win it. In addition to that he was caught on the ball at least 3 times & could have released it a lot earlier. Those are just off the top of my head although I am quite drunk right now & can't remember everything.

Yeah but c'mon, nobody won anything against Fellaini all game... Gunter did the right thing by standing off him

Football First suggests that's not the case. Morrison won half the aerial battles against Felliani (that they showed).

Having said that - many better players have been ripped a new one by Felliani, particularly in the air - just ask any of the MU defenders.

Agreed Gunter was not great at Wigan, but i am still a fan. Feel he is getting some harsh stick, when Wigan went to 3-5-2 with wingbacks, it was the wingers jobs to shut down the wing backs, and the full backs to tuck in, which is exactly what they did

I think a full season as first choice right back will do him a world of good. I do feel a bit sorry for Cummings though.

Yeh. I assume Cummings will be first choice back up though to Gunter. With Kelly playing LB unless we make a LB signing in the summer.

Kelly's been ok on the left, but he's much better on the right. If we sign a lefty, we can move Cummings on and let Kelly & Gunts duke it out for the place. Agree in feeling sorry for Cummings though.
