Man Friday One again, hundreds of our fans leave with 5 mins to go. WTF! Just unbelievable. (Saw a dozen or so leave with 10 minutes to go!)

Were they all together? They may have been the bus drivers, who have to leave 10 minutes early to get the buses ready for those who want to leave 5 minutes early.

Not my idea of what a bus driver looks like! I didn't know they drove with their wives/girlfriends alongside them!

NattMiles Hate having to sit for a penalty, people behind go flipping mental if I stand...

I sit North Stand in KK back row, have stood for most of the time in games this season, no stewards at all have come up apart from the Stoke game and as soon as he walked back down i stood again when it mattered.

Enjoyed the atmosphere yesterday, from the first minute of the second half when Roberts finally won a 50/50 and broke free. Started to believe.

winchester_royal Just to be clear...I didn't leave early. And like the rest of you I was muttering obscenities under my breath at those who were leaving with 2 minutes to go...

Not sure why I'm explaining myself to you though, I'll go whenever I damn well please you fruit headed mong :D

De facto, you Downs Syndrome hating wazzock. Just that I've been going to football matches for a few years now and I've never seen other sets of supporters leave early when their team's match is on a knife-edge. Can you imagine that at, say, Anfield? Oh, I forgot, our traffic problems are worse than anybody else's.

No actually, I think we've got the most middle-classey, fickle, want-success-today, set of fans in the league. 'twas not always this way of course.

Avon Royal To be fair, the traffic out of the stadium car park seems a lot better this season. Normally flowing by 5.20ish as opposed to 5.45ish last year. I only tend to leave early for midweek games now, as it changes the DATE that will get back to Brizzle.

number 1 way to get home in quick time = not to park at the stadium

Fair point, but parking at the stadium does mean I can rock up at 2.50pm. Which is pretty much what I do every week.

The Emirates is never more than 70% full at the final whistle, knife edge or not.

Man Friday Tabb/Leigs a joint score - why? Do thay come BOGOF?

No, I just had the same things to say for both of them.

SCIAG McAnuff 5- poor, his worst game for a long time. I thought he'd been put on the right to deal with Baines, but he didn't. He just pointed at him. Going forward he did very little. Switch him back to the left and make Kebe the first choice for dealing with attacking full backs from now on.

Overly harsh assessment of his performance IMO (as mentioned elsewhere, his long sprint back and great sliding challenge in stoppage time was critical and worthy of a mark alone!). Also, there is a flaw with your solution. Kebe is beginning to make Anderton look resilient!

It was a good tackle on Baines, but he let him go too many times, and stayed too central rather than staying wide to deal with Baines. Normally I'm a fan, but defensively he wasn't good enough and he wasn't his usual self going forwards.

We need Kebe to get some fitness, just as he has started to become a reliable and consistent performer, he's started to get injured.

I struggle with the argument of leaving early for the sake of getting home that bit earlier because you live far away. I have a season ticket and come down from London every game but I've never left a match early. I just don't get it. Would you leave the cinema before the film is over and miss the ending?

Anyway, the game was fun. Thanks, LeFondre. He needs to be starting, he stretches the defense so so much.

When you purchase a season ticket you are making a commitment towards 19 weekends 10 months into the future. If you need to leave a couple of games 5 minutes early because something came up then so be it.

Absolutely no comparison to be made.

Then I suggest you start looking as critically at other supporters as you do at our own! For starters, what about all of the Everton supporters who streamed out ten minutes from the end? Given our record this season, could they honestly have thought the game was over? Never been to Watford? Seen their supporters stream out early too when games have been on a knife edge and I bet pretty much the same happens at virtually every ground if you are on the look out for it.

TBF, leave the Emirates 5-6 minutes early and you can save 60-70 minutes.

Leave after the whistle and the police force you to go the long way round for some tubes and it's a nightmare
