Kitsondinho Oh well.....cheaper in the Championship ain't it? At least we ain't Wolves............

And if we had spent sensible money to try to stay up we would have ended up like Portsmouth!

Which is obviously what I was advocating  . I have never said we need to spend more money on the team a la Pompey. I was referring to fact that the price of tickets is cheaper.....and that Wolves are even shitter than us.

I was not having a dig at you. I was having a go at all the morons who keep advocating that the only alternative to 'The Reading Way' (now a proven failure) is to go bust.

I simply can't believe anyone thinks we've played as badly as last week.

Not enjoying the game but can't fault the effort and we've had more chances today than we've created in a long time.

BonBoh Can anyone answer this...

Why did we play 4-5-1 vs Wigan at home but go 4-4-2 vs Everton away?

Could we not have played 4-4-1-1 today to pack the midfield just a bit more knowing that teams walk through our midfield when we play 4-4-2.

We changed because of Pog. We really shouldn't be playing 4-4-2 at all IMO. Personally I'd have gone Hunt up top on his own today.

We are still conceding 2's and 3's with 4-5-1 though. The only clear difference is we have fewer chances on goal at 4-5-1.

I'd advocate 5-5-0 at this point

The difference today is the class of the players we are against. The 3 scorers plus Baines are all technically above anything we have had in years (Gylfi maybe excepted) and without spending anything we are likely to see unless the academy can start performing miracles.

We just don't have the players that can create something from nothing like Pienaar did earlier.

To be fair to BM, his tactics were probably dictated by the players he has available.

He had that excuse before christmas. Not now.

The only reason we've have put so much pressure on games like this week is because of games like last week.

Better effort today, where was it last week when we really needed it.

Keeps Saints in the relegation battle I suppose.........not that it'll matter to us.....but it'll be useful for Villa and Wigan.

And the lack of choice was whose fault? Yes, we've got a couple of injuries and a suspension but only McDermott, Hammond and co seemed to fail to spot that the squad simply did not have enough quality and strength in depth.
