Hoop Blah Even when we've been playing 2 upfront Le Fondre has failed to make one of those positions his own.

I maintain he's not had an opportunity yet when we've had a side that's actually been providing decent service, with a decent partner and competing on an even vaguely level playing field.

Pay attention m8 - we've been playing a lone striker this season under our gr8 new manager.
We still need a new striker - have we got one yet?

Norfolk Royal Adkins seems to casually avoid the fact that two of the goals were scored by a player who is now done for the season on that front.

Dave the rave As I said on another thread I have it on good authority from the mouth of Mr Samuelson that we are looking specifically at a striker but no name forthcoming.

I heard we are in for Zlatan "The Swedish Meatball" Ibrahimovich as PSG crumble financially. Have to get Roberts of the wage book to sign him first.

Hoop Blah MADreadingfan just about sums it up!
Roberts coming back is a long way off yet, and when he comes back the probability is that he's not going to up to football at this level.
As for competing for 1 place up front, did you not notice we played with two forwards, plus Drenthe, on Saturday.

I wanted to ask about this but was too intimidated by all the big boys on the the other thread. How exactly did we line up on sat? Was it a 451 or a 442? Which side was Blackman on?

Looked pretty fluid to me with the forward players playing fairly loose positions, Drenthe usually a bit deeper and ALF and Blackman drifting out wide as necessary. A sort of 4-3-1-2 maybe.
