winchester_royal I see Nigel has taken time out to write a message to the fans in the club Xmas card.

Permatanned prick. He'll never be one of us.

You'll change your tune if he turns us into the next Southampton

Doesn't every manager do this?

Perhaps he should spend less time writing Christmas cards, and more time on the training ground.

I put Other - can't see any reason to change manager; others could do a lot worse.

Yeah look at the 'success' of someone like Zola at Watford ... also worth noting the time it has taken for Leicester to finally play the kind of football their manager was trying to get them to play successfully ... alongside heavy investment in the squad! I like what NA is trying to do even though so far it's not yet really borne fruits consistently - at the same time, I've seen glimpses of the kind of football I'd want to see more often and which there was no chance of seeing under BM. So I'm firmly in the IN camp.

Jesus Christ.

Impressed by the sheer oxf*rd of fans clamouring for Nigel's sacking in the same breath as bitching about not giving Brian enough time.

Four months into the season.
In a play-off spot.
During a financial lockdown and injury crisis.

Surely he deserves a bit of time to iron out the performances, find some consistency and fully employ his vision, even if we don't like him as much as Bri.

Adkins just isn't the 'Reading' type

by LoyalRoyalFan » 21 Dec 2013 18:42

Granted that the title is badly worded, but to put it simply; Nigel Adkins and the Reading fans will just never get along. He isn't the type of manager we need, or want, and the connection between the fans, most of the playing staff, and Nigel himself just isn't there.

The ownership situation doesn't help, but the feeling around the club is one of negativity, and explains why so many people have chosen to boycott the Adkins Revolution.

No, I don't boo the players. Is Adkins to blame for the shocking defending? YES. He instructs the players, who are clearly incapable of passing out from the back, to do so and it cost us.

You're* clueless.

Its not the managers fault. I'm just starting to think the problem is actually the fact that the majority of the players he has inherited are just shite.

No manager is instantly the right 'type'. People bitched about Coppell for not showing enough passion, questioned Pardew and please explain what McGhee's connections with Reading were before he took over as manager? Why don't all you morons quieten down and let the grown ups do their jobs.
