leon We used to be on the pitch all the time at elm park. It was great.

+1. Got the grass in a film pot.

Its football. Its an expensive drunken pantomime. On the pitch should be the requirement at least once a season, especially getting to wembley in an FA cup semi for the first time in over 100 years. hth xx

A post whistle pitch invasion is still one of the greatest things about do or die football matches. Stilted laps of "honour" are not.

And you thought that was a "do or die" match? We comfortably beat a team within the first fifteen minutes... in order to reach the semi finals :|

When we won the league, OK. Now it just seems like idiot fans have got a taste for it and want to get on at the slightest opportunity.

You could argue every cup match is a do or die match. Are we therefore going to invade if we beat Luton/whoever in the first round of the League Cup next season?

Did not invade the pitch. Merely shook my head gently in disapproval.

Security has to share some of the blame for allowing it/not preventing it.
A whole line of riot Police in front of the away end for no obvious reason.
But only a handful of stewards in front of the entire East Stand to prevent a ton of people who were obviously intent on invading from about 3 mins to go.

TBF the commentators on ESPN were talking about a potential pitch invasion for the last 10 minutes (at least), I think it would have a been odd not to have one.

Its the first time we've reached the semi in 88 years and obviously the next game isn't at home, what needs to happen to be 'allowed' a pitch invasion? Or shouldn't we ever have them? My best memories of Elm Park include the pitch invasions, chances are if I was there I wouldn't be on the pitch these days but, my god, its a bit killjoy to berate the younger fans who went on the pitch.

RoyalinBracknell What was that music about when the fan invaded when the match was still being played?!

Probably the single best thing I have ever seen at the Stadium of Mong tbh.

The music came on pretty quickly too, its almost like they knew he was about to run on.........

Mindless twats ruined great night for the team and the majority of the fans.

The kid with the blue flare on the pitch should be banned for life.

It seems a bit bizarre to complain about people invading the pitch when we've got the the semi final of the cup for the first time in living memory (Royal Lady aside). Everyone in the stands should also have gone onto the pitch as would have been the case at EP, rather than staying there like lemons.

Utter idiots.......I'm sure most just got caught up in it, as they were mostly silly little children. But it takes just a few to cause bigger problems. The club could be in trouble because a few cant show some restraint. And flares ....really??
So if we somehow beat arsenal, do they invade the Wembley pitch?????? I expect most of them don't go to most of the games, and hope they don't come again....

Doesn't the sign "Please stay in your seats for the players to come out" basically mean "Pitch invasion!"

Funniest part was the man over the tannoy saying, when 1000 odd were already on, "please return to your seats so we can, errrrrr, do something else for you"

If you want to be that pedantic tidus, it's the first time ever as the 1927 semi was played at Molyneux.
