Lacoste Ok then, TFF.

Lets put all managers on rolling contracts. If they're fired, no compo and free to move as they like.

Lets see how many managers would like that. If contracts mean nothing to them, lets do it. Surely it would benefit them, no? Especially if they're "ambitious" and willing to jup at every average opportunity.

Also, its telling that a number of former RFC players have come out condemning Clarke for what he's done. I'm assuming they're better informed as to how this will effect the club than the likes of you.

If clubs respected the contracts they gave their managers you might have an argument. We were quick enough to get rid of Rodgers, McD and Adkins when it suited.

I would have thought the last people to be condemning Clarke would be players - given the value they typically put on club loyalty.

How is terminating someone's contract for poor performance and making an inevitable generous settlement to do so not honouring it?

Terminating someone and replacing them 24 hours later indicates that you've been trying to replace them behind their back for quite a while, not very loyal is it?

I've already said I found the haste in which we appointed Clarke distasteful. But you've nothing to show Adkins wasn't aware he was one result away from being pushed and replacements were being lined up.

And none of that means the contract was dishonoured.

This whole episode shows how completely non-fussed am I with the club.

Couldn't care if Clarke had left, couldn't care who would have replaced him, wasn't even remotely miffed with his explanation this morning.

At least I got worked up when McGhee left. If anything, this has just shown how shite modern football is, seeing as though I can't even get worked up by anything nowadays.

We couldn't afford Pearson and he wouldn't have come here even if we could afford him.

Maybe but that would have been the best for me we are just left with a leader that will jump ship at the earliest opportunity

So the same thing we will get with our next manager and every other manager we will ever have.

Unless they are involved with Real Madrid or Barcelona everyone in football is looking to jump ship somewhere.

Edit, Or they are Arsene Wenger.

Sandy, your loyalty to Clarke is admirable however would you have been quite so magnanimous had he fcuked off to Fulham?

Coppell and McDermott didn't jump ship. How are they regarded in terms of performance?

If we don't have club allegiance - what the fcuk do we have?

Loyalty to Kingsley? The Cnuting megastore? Sky?

The man's taken the piss.

Think about it. You're a Reading fan.

Yeah I'm a Reading fan.

Err... boo Clarke, you smell or something. Is that the right thing to say?

Oh well, off to wet the bed. Sorry, meant to say "off to attack a Swindon fan with a knife".

All football contracts are honoured in terms of ££££. That's the only reason they're there.

I said respected.

Hopefully Reading can afford to sack the judas bstard.

Clearly he has no loyalty and will be off when a decent offer arises. Will be very interesting to see how the players respond today.
