Gregster here's positive logic....

RFC beat Middlesborough 3-2
Middlesborough beat Chelsea 2-1

Therefore:

RFC beat Chelsea 3-1

RFC to win the league.

Wouldn't it be better to say it like this...

Reading beat Middlesborough, Middlesborough beat Chelsea, therefore Reading are better than Chelsea and Middlesborough.

same meat different gravy.

if chelsea are the firm favourites to win the league, we've beaten the only team to have beaten them.

BBC Berkshire have been stalking FiNeRaIn.

Reading fans online were celebrating when Kevin Doyle's opener went in - "This is such a great start!" wrote one jubilant Royal.

But the gloom set in with Sonko's dismissal.

"It's so annoying," wrote one supporter. "We're going to lose now due to a refereeing decision. I can take the penalty, but a sending off too?"

"Time for a bit more fighting spirit," encouraged one fan, backed up by another claiming: "It's alright. We play best when we're really up against it."

Gareth Barry's winner did little to lift spirits though.

"Gonna be a long old season boys," was one conclusion.

Guilty as charged. Safer than asking Coppell for quotes judging by the final whistle...

ah well, we were top of the league longer this match than the other. we still have a long season ahead of us, nothing to get too down about. just showing flaws we already knew and we will have to start our next win streak with Wigan.

URZZZZZ!!

Just had a phonecall from someone on the coaches on the way back, absolutely silence. They are completely gutted. Referee was a disgrace and we played so well, villa scored agaisnt the run of play and looked a terrible side, how they won is a joke, even with 10 men. They know they've been lucky.

Look forward to MOTD/Sky's view on the bald twat Mason. Coppell's interview should be interesting too, although knowing SC he will probably have regained his composure long before he got in front of the camera. If not, there was clearly something very, very wrong with the officials tonight.

In which case I will put every penny I have on Reading to win the league (although I might hold 50 pence back as I really fancy a Mars Bar)

Must go , there are some people in white coats knocking on my door (again)

RoyalBlue there was clearly something very, very wrong with the officials tonight.

Looks like that evens up our good fortune with Viduka's goal on Saturday then.

Good comments from Villatalk.....

Just got back from the game.

Reading were impressive and dominated for more than 2/3 of the game,
going on that performance they will do well this year.

My ratings :

Sorrenson - 6
Hughes - 6
Mellberg - 7
Ridgewell - 6
Samual - 2 - awful
Agbon - 6
Barry - 6
McCant - 6
Davis - 6
Moore - 7
Angel - 6

Whittingham - 7
